http://www.simondale.net/house/index.htm

it is so awesome.

this guy built it to be a low-impact home, and safe for his kids.

and it just happens to look really really really neat.

That's spiffy! I wanna be one of those kids! :P Maybe if I ever have any of my own (kids, I mean) I'll build one of those for them and, er, join them in it... :teehee:

amazing article..and a funky house!

maybe we should all send a copy to our respective governments, give them a hint!
..healthy eco-living, being energy self-sufficent, the use of natural materials (without harvesting), re-cycling

I try as much as I can, to live by the same `rules´, with the limited options given to me in a modern society.
Unfortunately, I can´t do what this Welsh family has a accomplished to do, even though my heart is there.
Some day, perhaps

yeah, I couldn't agree more with that. I'm also trying to live as "eco-friendly" as possible. But I can't do what the Welsh family did/does either.. but yeah.. I can only agree that it's a great example for other people to think about the environmental issue

Gahhh, that house is so perfect!

I wonder if he was inspired at all by the idea of a hobbit-hole. :)
