Here is an rp description of Mara...sorry if it's not too good, I'm new to this sort of thing.
Name: Maralyn Imladiel (Mara)
Gender: Female
Eye Color: Light Brown
Hair Color: Black
Age: 107 human years
Height: Not exactly tall, but greater in height than most elves her age.
History: Mara was born in Rivendell several years before the One Ring was destroyed. Her parents' names were Elrohir and Sinya. For almost four years, they lived peaceably there, until one day when Mara was three years of age, her father was called to help fight the goblins in the Misty Mountains. Many weeks went by without Mara or her mother hearing from him, until one day, they learned that he had been killed.
Sinya, who was pregnant at the time, fell into great mourning, refusing to either eat or sleep. Finally, three days after they had gotten word about Elrohir's death, she gave birth to a son, Taranu, but by that time she was too weak to live, and died soon after the birth. The childrens' grandfather, Elrond, kindly took them in after their mother died, fulfilling their every need. He taught Mara how to fight with a sword, shoot with a bow, and many other skills she would need out in the wild. He also taught these skills to Taranu, but, unlike Mara, he detested fighting of any kind and prefered staying at home to cook and read.
When Mara was three and twenty days of age, she decided she had had enough of the peaceful life in Rivendell and wanted to go wandering. Elrond consented, and gave into her care the sword Gwanu, which had belonged to Elrohir before his death. And so it was that, with many farewells, Mara left Rivendell, which had been her home for many years.
Now she travels alone, with the exception of her horse, Mor Nar, whom she rescued from a pit as a foal, and Hwesta, her silver dragon, who keeps her company. She has met many good friends along her travels, including Brandin, Aliana, Mindtraveller, and Inwe Calaelen. Not too long ago, she fell in love with Mindtraveller (Trav), and they are currently engaged to be married.
