Varquenor Calamernë Gender: Male Birth: Narquelië 15, T.A. 223 Appearance: Green and brown hunting garments, black boots and glossed leather gloves. Also a cloak if the weather permits. Chestnut-colored shoulder-length hair, usually pulled back, and sage green eyes. His skin tone is tanned to a bronze. He stands at a height of 5'9, with a slender build, but holds a natural strength and unusual speed. Weaponry: A simple recurve bow, a few daggers here and there. Also has a scimitar for close work. History: When Varquenor was a child, born in the Grey Havens, his parents, ship-crafters, were drowned in a severe storm that shattered their boat on testing-day. He was soon after taken in by Cirdan, who fostered him as a son, and had him trained as a shipwright. The boy was bitter, however, and cursed the Valar for stealing away his parents. He fled from the Grey Havens and went to Lothlorien for a time, training by the sword. Later he would be able to best many of the swordsman in Caras Galadhon. Soon, he grew restless and went to the Rhovanion, where he threw off the burden of nobility and became a rogue, taking from passers-by and travellers upon the road, and forever seeking a new challenge. However, regardless of of status or occupation, he always mantains to chivalry and all forms of gentlemanly manner, pertaining that charm is a greater weapon than the sword. |
