Meleth shook her head, and gestured for the littler elf to keep going. She did not want her weakness known to the others.

Elestiel watched from a distance and sighed. The air had a sharp scent to it. Something was amiss. She automatically stiffened.

"How far?" Meleth asked Rhavaniel in a low voice. She sounded strained. "I cannot linger here..."

"Not far now- You ahead of those trees over there." She gestured vaguely, and set off again, little bare feet pattering softly as she broke free of the dense forest, and onto a path leading to a cobbled bridge. Beyond that, lay the fortress.

Turwaithiel still looked out near Elestiel, and saw her stiffen. She gripped her sword on second nature and looked around, but catiously followed them.

Elestiel turned to Turwaithiel. "Do you smell that?" her keen elven senses were alert with the possiblilty of an enemy nearbly.

Meleth followed, more quickly now, anxious to be inside where she felt that she would be rather safer. Not to mention her companions.
