(it’s only long cause it’s my first post. My first few posts will be considerably long because I have to describe everything for some reason. I'm detail-oriented.)

The forest of Greenwoods appeared quite calm and peaceful that morning. The sun’s rays gently spilled through holes in the canopy woven of leaves over head creating a cozy, green lighting on the forest floor. The strange wind was indeed odd but was refreshing to those who had been traveling for many suns.

A small and rather strange looking parting traveled through the forest. Two guards rode at a swift trot through the forest with a fair elven lady riding in between them on a magnificent ivory mare. Given the festivities that were to be held at Mirkwood, it was not at all to see three Elves of obvious high rank traveling through the forest. Aside from the lady’s body guards, she had two other companions. A white and a black wolf jogged on either side of her. But not even that was particularly odd either. No. It was their appearance. Both Wardens had swords at their sides and spears in their hands. They wore light armor like a breast plate and one carried a small shield. At every noise, their heads would snap in the direction. The party would halt for a few moments with all of them remaining very quiet while the dark wolf went to inspect the noise.

The elf in the middle was as tough looking as her companions. She wore forest green cloak over light brown breeches and a fitted light green tunic with small silver embroidery. Leather arm guards protected her forearms. Her riding boots were polished but obviously were not the rich, new boots human nobles bought for occasions. No, they were creased and marked from riding. Leather half-chaps covered her boots, giving her legs further protection. Her hair was a long, pale silver color. It was down but the front had been pulled out of her face. She too had a sword at her side and a dagger at her belt. A long bow and a quiver of arrows were secured on her back.

Some nobles would be disgusted with her attire. There was not an outfit Falathiel liked better then a tunic, breeches, boots, and having her sword, Caladwen, hang from her belt.

The white she-wolf whimpered beside her.

What’s wrong Ithilwen? asked Falathiel, using the power of telepathy.
Danger lurks.
She’s right said the dark wolf. Dark forces will be upon this forest soon.
We’ll be in Mirkwood soon assured the elf.

Rhavaniel stretched, catlike, and picked up her longbow, lazily fitting an arrow to the string. There was a small pause, then a thud, as the arrow hit its target. With a private grin, she stepped forward, and tugged it out of the center-ring, placing it back in her quiver.
Seemingly satisfied, the Marchwarden moved towards Aradan.
"Good Day."she murmered bowing her head slightly.

Elenanna and Voronwe pulled away, and she looked to her two children. Smiling, they walked to their parents, and the family embraced.

"It's been a while." the silver-haired elf said. She hid a smile when she felt a familar presence, and she shook her head. Apparently, Eruraviel had felt it as well, for they shared a glance.

"Come, Elenanna, Eruraviel." The two elleths turned their head, and Elenanna took her husband's offered arm, and they walked into the palace.

A redheaded elf hung out at the castle, sharpening a sword with a smooth rock. She was leaning against a wall, in a place were she could watch the comings and goings of everyone around her. Eruraina smiled, and paused from sharpening her sword, fingering her scar. Thinking deeply, her face went somber, then she began sharpening her sword again. What she thought about, no one knew, and no one would know for awhile.

~~~~~~~~
Lughir entered the castle, looking around for a place he could get grand cloths, but to no anvil, he sighed and walked back outside.
"I'll just have to show up with what I have on," he mumbled...
The elf watched a few others depart the archery range - she knew none of them - and observed Mirwen with her bow. She remained silent for some time, thinking sensibly that there wasn't going to be much opportunity to practice, and she shouldn't interrupt; but eventually her impatience to see her friend won over. Sweeping long silver hair over her shoulder, she went forward.
"Suilaid, mellon nin...oh Aradan, it's been far too long!"
(Whoops..either I'm being blond, or I'm just blind.. :blush:)
Lowering her bow once again and turning, just as her arrow imbedded in the target, Mirwen smiled a bit, seeing Meleth. "Suilad."
Turning his head, Aradan also saw Meleth, and allowed himself a smile. "Far too long, indeed."
Lughir, farther down the shotting range from the other, just glanced at Meleth, Araden, and Mirwen, then went back to practicing his archery. He did not know the newcommer, nor most of the elves in the castle exept for maybe one of two...
The trees ahead the Lothlorien elves gradually began to thin out. It was clear that others headed for the Mirkwood festivities had taken this path for hoof prints were quite visible. The band came forth from the forest. They were near the archery range. She smiled with delight. Falathiel watched the archers with intrest as she rode past and made a mental note of having to practice later.
