Tindomerel looked at Rhayader, smiling slightly. "It's true," she said, sniffling, "I don't mind really. Being immortal is all that..."
A few more tears fell down her cheeks. "I'm not crying about being mortal, that I won't mind much. It's something else..."

Tindomerel leaned into his arms. "Remember when I wouldn't tell you what was wrong before?" she asked, looking up at him, her eyes glassy with tears, "It's happened when I was at Helm's Deep, at the time of the War of the Ring. My best friend, Wilwarin, was there, too. I asked her not to rat out on me, because I really wasn't supposed to be there."
She shivered from both the cold and the horror of remembering.
"I watched her die, her life taken by one the dreaded fire weapons. I watched, unable to do anything..."
She shivered again, nuzzling into Rhayader's arms as she started crying harder. "She was my only friend, beside Nimloth and Lebethron," she whispered, sobbing, "That's why my mind has been wandering. The last time I stayed in Rohan for a longtime was when she died."

Rhayader looked at her in slight shock but held her closer. He shushed her softly.
"I am sorry Tin... I know what it feels like to loose to someone you care for."
He wiped her tears away with his thumb and smiled.
"I'm here for you now."

Tindomerel nuzzled into Rhayader's arms, glad to have him holding her. "I'm glad to have you here," she said, looking up at him, smiling up at him.
She kissed him lightly. "I don't care about an immoratal life anymore," she said, grinning as she pulled away, "It's quite boring really..."
Tindomerel trailed off, looking down at some noise that was on the ground. She realized it was her footsteps. It was still light, but she could hear the footsteps slightly. Her eyes remained glued on her feet.
She was becoming more mortal by the minute.

"I can hear myself walking," she said, still watching her feet, "Not much, but a little."
She looked back up at Rhayader, smiling. She kissed him again, gently and tenderly. "It means I'm becoming mortal," she explained.
The noise was soft, but it was starting to annoy her. "How can you stand listening to yourself walk?" she asked.
