Mel grinned and shrugged. "I'm okay with a bow, but I don't think I'm good enough to teach you, becase my aim is likely worse than yours. We might as well learn together, though. Do you have money? I don't - I don't even know if they would accept it in Bree if I did."

"what kind of mony do they even use in Middle-Earth?" she said, now inspecting the bow, and arrows. She streached the bow, expecting it to be hard to pull. It was suprisingly easy...

"Just don't dry-fire it - fire it with no arrow in it," said Mel quickly. "That puts a lot of strain on the wood and it will eventually break if you do that too often. For money...don't they talk about silver pennies and such in the Fellowship of the ring book? Those must be something like what we have...or more correctly, what you have."

"I know, I know." she said, slowly putting the bow back. She looked to the distance again, something caught her eye. Eru looked at it, and kept watching, what ever it was...

Mel followed Eru's gaze. "What do you see?" She asked, shading her eyes with one hand. "It's so hard to see in the dark." she yawned widely. "I'm going to see if I can get any sleep. I've never slept on the ground outside - it's sure to be an enlightening experience, if not a comfortable one."

(I think I read it somewhere-probably on a fanfiction or something)

Elenriel continued to scan her surroundings as the group continued their journey. "How did you come here?" Legolas asked her suddenly. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." she responded. Legolas gave her a half-amused look then, as if to say try me. "I was dropped in Mirkwood by a whirlwind and told to ride for Rivendell. What my purpose is, I do not know." "A whirlwind?" he asked skeptically. "I told you wouldn't have believed me." she remarked quietly. "Strange events are happening today. Whether or not our paths are entwined at Rivendell, I'll remember this as the oddest adventure I'd ever had." "Same here." she replied wryly. With that both continued to travel in silence.

"theres something over there, I can just barely see it. What ever it is, it's not coming tward us... Looks like..." she strained her eyes. Eru saw a dot of black, moving tward Bree, or past Bree... to far away to tell. "oh well. I'll just keep an eye on that. Oh, and sleeping on the ground is much better then other places I've slept..." she said, sitting back down. She layed back, and looked at the stars. "the stars are so beautiful out in the open..."

"Mmm," was all Mel said, very sleepily. She rolled closer to the fire. "G'night."

(Eru is the Lord of all Arda, over the Valar, is what I seem to remember. Like God. So By Eru is like "My God" or some such, the use of whcih I do not subscribe to. But just so you know what it is. I'm off for now, so guys, if you go anywhere, just pretend I'm tagging along please)

Gwenneth, on the left of Pandora, began skipping as to catch up with Gandalf, and the other two followed.

"Seeing a scarecrow reminds me of the Wizard of Oz," she grinned, and began singing, 'we're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz...' her skip changed in beat of the song.

Ahead, Gandalf merely laughed.

He quickly turned around and saw a quite goodlooking, tall guy. FaZiovsky didn't know how to begin the conversation, so he rasped
"You aren't one of the local dwarves, are you?" - laughed - "cool T-shirt" - FaZ pointed at the man's chest - "I like Lordi too!" (:P)
"So can you tell me who are you, and what have just happened?" He said with a smirk. "I can swear I saw Gollum 5 minutes ago!"

(@_@ HECK!! You people just don't slow down... and just so ya'll know, I'm coming from a more East-Northeast direction, headed somewhat West-Southwest into Bree... and have no clue that I have to get to Rivendell... But I guess I'll see you guys in Bree :D)

It was long before morning came and Idril was shaken from her sleep, but it was still dark out. Groaning slightly in complaint, she swatted the hand away and muttered, "Terry, stop that, no, I'm not taking you for a ride this morning, the yearling isn't trained enough, you'll have to wait..."

Suddenly she sat bolt upright, squeaking slightly as she realized she still wasn't home, and that she was out in the open, forgetting for a moment how she had gotten there.

After calming down, she saddled her mare and stifly climbed aboard as though it were normal, hardly paying heed to the impatience of the ranger. Her stomach growled in an untimely fashion and just as she was about to ask if there was anything to eat, a chunk of dried meat was tossed her way. Mumbling a thank you, she gnawed on the piece, but Aragorn had already turned and started towards Bree again.

"Ack! I don't eat on the go! Good grief and I thought he'd have manners..." Grumbling slightly, she urged Princess forward. "I am not a morning person.." she murmured under her breath.

Unexpectedly, the remark was responded to. "Perhaps you'd prefer to travel by night and meet with the other unsavory characters which roams these fields and forests..."

"Dang he's got good hearing..."

Pandora laughed and joined in the singing of 'wizard of Oz'.

"Now that is a classic movie..." She smiled as the continued of foot through the fields and across vallys until Gandalf stopped.

"I think we should rest, you all need your strength as we trek through the Old Forest. It is a short shortcut, but a shortcut nonetheless." Gandalf explained as he sat down on a log opening his pack before lighting his pipe of Old Toby while handing the girls bread and cheese.

"Oh, Thanks Gandalf."

"That sounds wonderful," said Gwenneth, before taking a bite of cheese. Streching herself out across the grass, Gwenneth stared up at the blue sky, with very few clouds. She set her hands underneath her head to make it easier on her neck.

"The sky isn't this clear at Earth," she said, more to herself, but it seemed that the others had heard her. "Is the weather always this lovely, Gandalf?"

"The early summers here are lovely, but not all seasons are," replied Gandalf, setting himself down on a rock.

Pandora took a sip of the water before laying it on the grass between her and Gwen and lying down in the grass. Her hair fanning around her while her riding cloak billowed slightly in the wind.

She placed one hand behind her head as a pillow before watching the clouds move slowly almost languorously across the crystal clear blue sky.

"Where I live the city lights drown out night stars and the buildings obscure my view of the sky. This is so beautiful." She replied to Gwen's thoughts.

[Sorry Pan, I edited my post since you beat me to the break idea ;)]

"I never knew you lived in the city," remarked Gwenneth, turning her head in Pandora's direction. "I go to the city a lot, but I live more in the suburbs. Do you enjoy city life?"

"See that cloud?" Said Gandalf suddenly, pointing up at the sky. "What does it resemble?"

"Oh, I love this game," Gwenneth smiled. "I played it all the time when I was younger. Let's see...it looks like a puppy's face. Can't you see the two floppy ears on either side?"

"It is a small city, but a city nonetheless." Pandora smiled at Gwen before returning her gaze to the skies.

"I visit the suburbs often, I find they are more subdued and a great getaway from the busy life." She then laughed at Gandalf's words, having played this game when she was a child.

"Hmm... that is no puppy that is a sailboat. Do you not see the mast, hull, and sails." She laughed with mirth at their childish games as the continued to name the clouds that drifted by. It was then that Pandora's eye caught a wisp of clouds that were too dark for such a beautiful day.

"What is that?" She pointed to the offending shape in the sky, slightly nervous at the answer she would hear.
