Arinae didn't stir at the touch, keeping her gaze to the ground as she remained silent for a moment. "It matters not how I'm faring... I'm not the men who had a leader fail on them.." she murmured the response.

Jax continued working hard at his work with the few who would help him. Most of the men thought he was crazy... but that didn't stop him. People had thought that about him his whole life, it was nothing new.

Rhayader shook his head.
"You are a fine leader. If you weren't would the men still be here with hope of victory."

((Me backs!))
"Okay," said Tindomerel, as Rhayader walked out.
After Rhayader was gone for about two seconds, Tindomerel slowly sat back up. "I don't want to rest," she said, inelvish, the healers blinking at her blankly.
She looked down at the ground, still very dizzy. She looked up at a horse's nicker. Lebethron had poked his head in the tent. "Shoo," said one of the healers, making Tindomerel giggle a bit.
Lebethron retreated, but the stallion still remained outside. Nimloth trotted into the tent moments later, flopping down at Tindomerel's feet.
"Good girl," said the elf, reaching down to pet the she-wolf, "You have a knack for finding me."

"But I lost one of their commanders," Arinae replied, her frustration of the situation rising, though her weariness kept it all in check and to a minimum. She sighed and shook her head, "The weight of it just becomes heavier and heavier..."

"I don't know much about leading, but I can imagine the responsabilities you must have, and the weight they carry. It is a burden you must bear or all will be lost."
He smiled and patted her on the back.
"You have done so much, it is only a matter of time before you are victorious."

Tindomerel yawned slightly, her amber eyes fluttering closed. Instead of laying on the bed, she lay down on the ground, using Nimloth as her pillow. She closed her eyes, quite peacefully, falling asleep quickly...
In her sleep, the elf was calm, the only hints of the horror filled dreams were her burning forehead and the elvish swearing.
Tindomerel was dreaming about a battlefeild. She was searching, searching for someone... The elf turned at the sound of a moan, her sloppy braid whipping in her face. She knelt down by a dead orc, and pushed it off the wounded man. The man was Rhayader. "Rhayader..." said the elf, stroking his cheek, tenderly. "Tindomerel..." His voice was very weak. "Shh," said Tindomerel, tears pickling at her eyes, a strand of her ebony hair falling from her braid and in her face, "You're going to be okay..." "Le...le melon...Tindomerel..." Rhayader lay there, dead, Tindomerel crying...
In her sleep, Tindomerel had started thrashing, calling out Rhayader's name, along with curses to the orcs in elvish. Nimloth had slipped out from under the elf's head after getting hit by her waving hands. The she-wolf tried to wake the poor elf, but she remained in the nightmare.
A healer ran over trying to calm her down, but Tindomerel was in a horrible state. Her high fever was affecting her and being wounded wasn't helping.

Arinae nodded slowly in response to Rhayader, but remained silent for a while before speaking in a quiet voice. "Hannon le, mellon nin, for the encouragement, but it will take more than my lifetime for such a thing to leave my memory or relieve it in any way of the scene I beheld not long ago... Not even victory will comfort over the losses, for we would go home, and many families would grieve, and that will be the heavy burden of guilt I shall have to bear."

"Would you prefer the families to have suffered more? Because of you those families, those women..."
He stoped and shook his head.
"... most of the women and children will not suffer further, you prevented that!"

Tindomerel was still stuck in her dream, still crying. She was in pain, in body, mind and spirit. The healers had moving the thrashing elf onto the bed. She was voilently twitching about. Her fever was spiking again, sweat dripping down her face. Nimloth sat at the side of the bed, trying hard to stay out of the healer's way.
The elf was moaning in pain, even in her sleep, still thrashing about. Lebethron gave a worried snort in one of the healer's faces, before getting his lead tied to a post ouside the tent. He was in deep protest, stomping about, worried about his mistress.

"Aye, I did what I could, and I am doing my best to save them from what might happen, but it still doesn't excuse the lives lost by way of a simple failure to instruct men to keep watch and be prepared to move down..." Arinae rambled on for a moment then stopped herself, giving a rueful smile. "But I shall continue to try... I just need to be sure it never happens again."
Standing, she let loose a heavy sigh, the pain still apparent in her eyes, both physical and emotional, but she steadied her composure and steeled her expression to the best of her ability. Turning her gaze inwards towards camp, she noticed Lebethron prancing agitatedly outside the healers' tent, tied to a post.
Furrowing her brows slightly, Arinae made her way over with as steady a stride as she could manage. Ducking to come into the tent, she swayed slightly in place when she stood straight too quickly, but she steadied herself and went over to the elf who seemed to be trashing fitfully.
"What happened?" she questioned a healer.
"She fell into fitful dreams, I'm afraid, and her fever is burning." Was the reply.
"Take my satchel, remove the herbs, and use what's left to make a sort of tea... but set aside a few leaves of the darker one for making a mash for the wound... use boiled water only," Arinae directed quickly, kneeling beside Tin, but careful not to come too close.
When it had been done as instructed, Arinae had the bandage removed from the wound and applied the elfen remedy, which at first would burn and sting painfully, but after a moment would be cool and relaxing.
"Tanka harwar... tolo dan na ngalad... mellon nin," she whispered the elvish words as she applied the poultice. The healers there at that moment would not have known of the herbs as their healing skill was of the Rohirrim and what Arinae had learned was of the elves. Arinae hoped that speaking in the tongue of Tin's kind, would pull the elf out from her troubled state.
"Sana sina...yulna" she held the cup of herb steeped water to the elf's lips and did her best to get her to drink the soothing mix. "Esta, mellon, quel esta"

The elf was still trapped in her dream, the shadows of night closing about her. She was afraid. But in the darkness, she heard Arinae's voice, speaking in the tongue she knew so well...
Tindomerel woke to find Arinae forcing some drink down her throat. Swallowing some of it, Tindomerel broke into a fit of coughing. "Arinae?" asked the elf, her eyes slightly closed still.
She hissed in pain, her side hurting badly. "What...happened?" she asked, varely able to force the words from her mouth.
At the sound of her voice Nimloth put her two front paws on the bed, licking Tindomerel's cheek. Lebethron had been violently pulling at his lead rope, biting at it with his teeth. He was now free of the post, trotting into the tent as far as he could, holding his head high.
Tindomerel lifted her head slightly, looking as the healers trying to get Lebethron out of the tent. "Where...is...Rhayader?" asked Tindomerel, struggling to speak.

Arinae put a hand on the elf's forehead to feel the fever. "Shh, don't talk too much... I'm guessing your wound became infected, but not too severely. You fell into a deep and troubled sleep... the herb mash I applied to your side should start to sooth the pain soon... sorry for the current burning, but it's an elfen remedy... the drink will help your overall condition but you'll need to give it time to work..."
She couldn't help but smile, amused at the horse's insistant tries to be near his mistress. "I left Rhayader a moment ago, when I noticed Lebethron looking very anxious... he should be here soon, I'm sure... how are you feeling now? The pain lessened any? It should soon, I hope..."

Tindomerel sighed. She was glad to know that he was safe. She only half listened to what Arinae said, her mind wandering back to her dream...
She shivered, a chill running threw her whole body. She tried to sit up, but she couldn't even move her arms. "Better," said Tindomerel, whimpering slightly as the pain in her side increased a bit, the started calming.
Lebethron danced out of the way of the healers, making his way over to Tindomerel, stretching over Arinae's shoulder to snort in the elf's face. "I think...you should...wait outside, boy," said Tindomerel, a small smile flickering at her lips, "The tent is just...a bit small for...you."
Nimloth jumped up on the bed, curling herself into a white ball of fur on Tindomerel's legs.
