Before long Jax was woke by the sun. There was much to be done and he got back to it with not more than a glance down at the group of orcs outside helms deep.

Arinae suddenly noticed a skirmish on the outer camps of the Rohirrim. Whistling for Stardance, she leapt upon the ever ready steed and rode him towards the activity. "What is going on?" She questioned a rider who was hurriedly strapping on his armor.

"The enemy.... a large gathering, just over the northern hill.... lined out in greater numbers than thought possible!" Was the quickly spoken and slightly distracted answer.

Riding to come to the height if the hill at a quick canter, passing the lines of battle preparing Rohirrim, Arinae reined Stardance to a halt, and the steed sidestepped, prancing slightly in place. What her eyes beheld both shocked and appalled her. A large force of orc, dundelings, wildmen, and even wargs and their riders had gathered just beyond another hill, thier number incomprehendable. Never had she seen such a force, though it would still have been dwarfed by the number during the Ring, but this was still more than they could handle alone and she knew it.

Suddenly, a memory of tales told her when she was a mere child came to her, of the beacons and their purpose. Someone needed to find way to get through and light them, to recieve greater assistance or all would be lost to this enemy that had come to prey upon the unsuspecting Rohirrim.

Turning Stardance sharply, she returned to the main camp at full gallop, then skid to a halt breathlessly, the strain of mastering the high spirited horse taking toll on her more quickly than usual. "Someone needs to light a beacon..... a force.... larger than even I could envision..... has come to prey upon our small numbers.... we shall be helpless if we.... do not seek help."

(Just so you know ^^ I'm setting things up so a friend of mine can come... it'll be his first Forum RP but he is well experianced with RPing and I trust he will do very well to benifit our little RP ^^ .. and you better be considerate of him or I shall personally slay those who aren't << *threatening growl*)

((I shall be a good girl.))

Tindomerel had fallen asleep, resting rather peacefully. She sat up suddenly. Lebethron had nudged her in the side. She listened as Arinae spoke, rather breathless. The elf turned to where Arinae had come. It had to have taken a large number of the enemy to make so worried.

Tindomerel stumbled a bit as she made her way back to the healer's tent. Nimloth woke at her light footsteps. The she-wolf was on her feet. Tindomerel knelt down by Rhayader shaking him gently. "Wake up, meleth nin," she whispered, softly in his ears.

Tindomerel waited a moment, then grabbed her sword from Nimloth. (The sword disappeared after Rhayader found it, so I'll just say that Nimloth found it) She tied it back around her waist. She then quickly bound her short hair into a bun, making sure it was tied up well. She turned back to Rhayader. She went over and started to shake him quite hard. "Rhayader," she whispered in his ear, "RHAYADER!!!!!!!!!"

Rhayader awoke with a frown.
"Do you mind?! I was having a lovely dream about you..."
He smiled at her face and sat up.
"What is it?"

"I only heard some of what Arinae said," answered Tindomere, her breath still not as calm as it should be, "Some army is out there that bigger than what Arinae thought it would be. That it's so bad we need to send for help..."
Tindomerel tied Narmacil's sheath tightly, making sure it would stay put. She was so glad she wasn't wearing her elven riding outfit. Breechs, a loos white shirt and a leather jerkin over it was much more senseable.

"If any of those dim witted (insert swear word here) find out who I am..." she said, firmly, "They'll must likely use me to get what they want from Elessar and Arwen..."
Sometimes, she wished she wasn't friend with the king of Gondor. Being sister to the queen was hard enough....

Jax herd Arinae's words and rushed over. His mind went straight to the project he had been working on. "If we aim the shields at the beacon it should light it within a short time." Jax sugested.

((Where is the beacon anyways? In the movie, it was near Edoras, but I don't remember where it was in the books...))

Rhayader frowned.
"Don't you want to help? You can ride to Minas Tirith and get help directly from the king can't you?"

"I could," said Tindomerel, "And if Arinae wishes me to, I'll jump on Lebethron and gallop off, swift as the wind... But it's a very long ride. It would take time to reach Gondor, let alone ask Elessar to send an army..."

Tindomerel sat back down on the bed her had left before. She rubbed her head. "I can't even think right now," she said, rubbing her forehead.
She closed her amber eyes, still trying to think, even though it made her head burst into a crazed headache.

((I promised Silmarwin I would be good, so not too many more posts.))

Jax looked back... wondering when the army would advance and if the becons would be lit and replied to in time to save them all. Once more his hope started to fade slowly. But he held on to it, not letting it slip away. ( *waits for Arinaes reply to earlyer post* )

[ okay, after going through the torment of reading nearly 80 pages of RP, think its time i jump into the play. More about my character you can find here: http://arwen-undomiel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3050 Hope i can make something out of it]

Meanwhile in the city of Minas Tirith:

A larger host returned to the city from the southern boarders of South Ithilien after a four day battle against a remmenant of the Harrad rebels that had been plundering the lands.

"Home at last, Captain..." said Dagonet to Aemornion with a slight but weary smile as they slowly strode up the levels of the city towards the 4th level and the barracks.
"Indeed, its good to walk among these streets again. And Im glad we are that much fortunate after all this..." Replied Aemornion with a smile. Wearyness was in his eyes and body like it was in all the men that walked behind them. Each moment or so, a joyful scream came from the streets as women and children greeted their husbands, fathers and sons alike and fly into a warm and merry embrace happy to see them once again. Aemornion took off his helmet and continued to carry it underneath his arm while he looked towards the towers high above.
"Very fortunate indeed...." Repeated Aemornion to himself as they passed the gate of the level.
"Cram?" A slight teasing smile lurked on Dagonet's face knowing what comes next.
"Offcourse!" Laughed Aemornion "But fist i must go report the activities to the sire. Spare me a seat, i shall join you in due time" He cast a sidelong glance at the company and quickened his pace towards the upper levels.

(*hugs Tin* ^^ Thank you.... and the beacon's have to be lit, because it will play along with the enterance of my friend....)

Arinae groaned at all the questions and suggestions thrown back and forth. Finally she had had it, her anger flaring, as she brought her tone to a near yell for a moment, "Stop it!! My head can't handle your debates and random suggestions..."

Finally she calmed her tone, slipping from her saddle and sitting down immediately, covering her face with her hands. "No one is riding to Gondor. The beacons are there because they will be the swiftest to bring us help. The closest is near Edoras.... someone needs to find a way through the lines of the enemy and light the beacon.... then once that is seen from the next beacon, that one will be lit, and then the next as well, until the signal reaches Gondor hopefully within an hour's time... while a rider would reach it in a few days ride. The enemy isn't ready to attack... we have a few days to wait for help to answer the beacons hopefully, and our supplies will last that long, but the enemy is reversing our trick on us, sitting and waiting for us to make the first move, until we're desperate, but we'll go a step ahead of them and send for assistance, is that agreed?"

At the last question, more or less an authoritive dare to say 'no', she stood to her feet, her expression steeled and her stance firm as she gathered her strength.

Aemornion entered the briefing quarters located on the 6th level near the stables of the errand riders. There he took a booklet and took a seat and started writing down the recent events that happened on the field.
"Something to refresh you sir?" Asked the clerk who was in moderete age but held a keen and aware glance.
"No, thank you Mirion" Replied Aemornion with a slight smile and started writing into the booklet with a firm but recognisable scroll

Rhayader stood up with a groan and walked outside with Tindomerel to speak with Arinae.
"Arinae what is going on?"
