Deawen listened with closed eyes, " I believe i spoke with the leader of our attackers, it seems who ever rules them told them that we were here to kill them, if that means anything" she anounced opening her eyes, she did not eat the fruit instead she gave it back to Sen wih a smile that said three things " we may need that later, all i need is a good sleep " And" you should get some sleep too"

As the adrenaline ceased it's rapid coursing through her bloodstream, Imlosiel felt exhausted, both from fear and physical exertion. She lay out her bed roll and attempted to sleep, though anxieties of another ensuing attack would not let her put her mind at ease. At last her body's need for slumber overcame these fears, and she fell into a fitful sleep.

Deawen let the fire sink slowly down she had gotten up several times and thrown wood on the fire as Eston kept watch up in a tree.
it was close to midnight when Eston came down and gave the watch to Deawen, she climbed the nearest tree with such stealth you could have mistake her an Elf. She took the time to reflect on the days events. She sat there for hours hardly moving she glanced down and saw Eston at the base of her tree " Deawen you should get some sleep " he said quietly so not to wake the others Deawen looked down at him with slight indifference " I don't need to sle.." she began but he cut her off " you haven't slept in two days, I'll take watch, the others need the sleep and so do you " he was right but Deawen could'nt help but feel like she needed to stay up and watch. she jumped down and landed quietly in the soft snow. She laid down next to Sen feeling wide awake, she finally drifted into a deep sleep. she breifly woke and snuggled closer to Sen and began to link their dreams something she did to try and explain her feelings and thoughts to him.

Anira smiled at Sen with gratitude, but following Deawen's lead, she too returned the fruit. "Save this for another time, I think we will have greater need of it later," she said softly. Soon afterwards she set out her bedroll and lay upon it, staring at the starless sky. How fitting. she thought with a sigh, even the heavens are shrouded in darkness. But whatever the cause for overwhelming shadow, we will find it. With that thought in mind, she drifted into a fitful sleep.

Dawn broke with little pomp, no rays to gently pull travelers from the realms of sleep, instead a cold wind whipped down the slopes of the mountain, It was sudden and brief but left everyone suddenly awake.
Deawen rolled over to Sen a quick kiss on his cheek and then she was already up and walking around. " Anira what have i told you about using your gift?" she mean't it as a joke and not seriously, jokingly implying that the sudden wind burst was Anira's creation.
Deawen took care of the horses giving them water and feed all were quiet but very alert. Bredol still mantained his stallion domanice over the others save for Sen's horse. While inspecting the horses she startled a rabbit from it's den Deawen glanced rapidly around not a bow in sight, not like she could use a bow, she always missed or the arrow fell short she left that to morwen. Deawen was just about give up when a rapid jingle caught her attention she turned around and saw Eston's falcon catch and pin the rabbit. She went over to the bird letting it climb on her arm, despite the razor sharp talons. She picked up the rabbit and showed it to the other. " Eston your bird is useful afterall" she called, " don't worry I'll let you have some choice bits" she told the bird quietly as she set it down.

*Sen woke from his sleep, heart warmed by the shared dreams of Deawen. Shaking off a small ammount of snow that had fallen on his blanket, he proceded to light the fire with a small snap of his fingers. Catching something out of the corner of his eye he casually wandered off towards the woods, muttering something about firewood. A short ways in, and his suspicion was confirmed. There was a wolf, an intellient look in his eye. Sen did not react, he merely said one word.*
Well?
*The wolf somehow changed into a man, with wolf pelts protecting him from the cold.*
You are in danger, all of you. The man came to our pack, and threatened us to kill you. We cannot, even if we desired to; yours and the lady's skills are too formidable, and our pack is too small, or so we heard from the pack that was sent against you earlier. We can only warn you, that he will not stop. He has a hold, and will not let it go. My pack and I will move further west, away from his reach. I would tell you to turn back, but you wouldn't. I will give you all the wolf's blessing, and say goodbye. May we meet again in better times, and warmer weather, lost one.
*Sen's eyes went sharp, and he was about to ask what the wolf meant by that, but the wolf was gone, only paw prints left to show where he had been.*

Morwen awoke the next morning feeling much refreshed. The burns on her hands were already beginning to scab over, manking it possible to lit things with little pain. Already, the memory of her inexplicable anger was gone. She pulled her wool cloak off of its two stick-poles and stored it and tossed the branches into the fire. "Gód mergen!" she called to Deawen. "What have you got there?"

Deawen looked up from her cooking, with a slight smile " good morning " she replied. she had already skinned the rabbit and was in the process of cooking the animal. she gave the unwanted parts to the bird.
" a rabbit that Eston's bird caught, such a handy bird" Deawen said with a cheerful tone. It had seemed the nights events did not bother her or concern her for another attack. " I was taking care of the horses and flushed out a rabbit, i didn't have a bow or arrow, just as i gave it up for lost Eston's bird got it for me, " she stroaked the birds feathers then looked up to Morwen. "as soon as breakfast is over we must leave and hurry I think we may be in for two things, one a second attack two a storm either way I'd rather not be caught on the side of the mountain. " she quickly informed Morwen through the connection between Sen, morwen and herself. She didn't want to worry the other two, she was too much an experianced leader to risk, open fears.

Anira awoke later, her mind troubled from the ominous feeling of her dreams-though hidden in shadow she could hear them-whispers in the night, murmurs of a growing evil. She knew that the wind was warning her of something, what it was she had yet to decipher. Sitting up, she packed her bedroll before joining Deawen, Morwen and Sen.
"Good morning," she greeted them. She then looked at Deawen. "Need any help?" she asked.

Deawen looked up and tucking a pesky lock of hair behind her ear. " well I think I got it covered" she said with a smile. Soon the meat was finished Deawen took out a cooking knife and began to cut the meat off and distributing it to the others.

Embarrassed to find that she was the last to wake from the previous night's sleep, Imlosiel quickly gathered her belongings and putting away her bedding. Her mind so preoccupied with worry that she had missed anything, she barely noticed the biting cold that snaked it's way through her cloak. Rushing to the area where she saw the rest of her companions gathered, Imlosiel plopped next to the fire with a smile and a "Good morning", gratefully taking the meat from Deawen's hand.

" good morning " Deawen replied to Imosiel " soon as breakfast is finished be prepared to move out, i think the weather is is changing on us" she gave a nod to the mountain ahead, the sky was crystal clear not a cloud in sight. Deawen had watched Sen leave with mild interest, too busy with the rabbit, but now she had morwen to watch over the meat. Deawen got up excused herself and wandered over to where Sen had run off to. She found him standing alone in the trees looking thoughtful. She went up to him, standing by his side. He was a whole head and half taller than her. She looked up at him but said nothing, words often didn't express what she was thinking.

*After a brief moment of silence, Sen spoke.*
Give me an enemy I can see, and all is well, my love. Yet this cold and lack of any tangible enemy is beginning to wear on me. Another of those lupine warriors were lurking at the edge of camp, with a warning for us; the Winterking will not be stopped. I sense something is amiss, though. Long ago, when my city still stood, we had a story of the Winterking, and he was not at all like what we are going to stop. Whatever it is, I hope we can get somewhere warmer soon.
*Sen went quiet, subconciously rubbing Deawen's shoulders to warm her up.*

Deawen sighed, Brushing her mind against his though she made no contact, she was often fickle with words but this time she stood silent. Too proud to admit even to her husband she was afraid, her small frame trembled slightly as she thought of what could possibly lay ahead. At Sen's touch she went ridged to hide the tremble.
" I think a storm is coming, we need to get to the out post before noon otherwise I don't think we will survive..." She said suddenly leaning against him.

Anira accepted the meat that Deawen had offered gratefully. Studying the darkened sky, she felt a shiver run down her spine. "No doubt the enemy is on the move," she whispered to herself, feeling ill-tidings brought by the chill of the air surrounding her. The encounter that they had with the wolf-men the night before did little to assuage her unease, which in itself was strange for her. She had never known fear in battle, but then again, in the past she had understood what they were facing. Now, that they were up against what seemed to be a formless foe, she found herself tense as she had never been. She could feel that another attack by someone or by something for that matter was imminent. "A storm is brewing..." she murmured quietly.

(Eerily similar to a scene in Grapes of Wrath.)
"I'll have some of that, if I may," said Morwen, sitting down. "I hate this cold," she continued, drawing closer to the fire. "I'm not sure how I'll be able to stand another storm."
