((the first orcs were tortured elves!))
The rider smiled a friendly smile.
"Just thought I'd come out for a ride on this beautiful day." the feminine voice said...

The rider quickley looked over her shoulder, then turned her copper colored filly so she could start riding again, this time she ran into the little girl. She barely saw the girl, and the horse almost ran over her. But the horse stopped, but stopped so abrutly that the rider was flung out of the saddle and over the horse's head, and onto the ground.
When the rider got up, the hood on her cloak had fallen down to show waste length, golden hair, sky blue eyes, full red lips, and strong features...

(ooh i'll join)
From a little ways away, Aeariel watched this happen. She steered her horse toward the scene, wondering what was happening. Her dark hair blew in her face, obscuring her view. Eventually she made out a few figures...

“Hwoa, Romus, it’s only a rodent.” Emryn patted the neck of her nervous mount reassuringly. She steered him in a small circle, a method she often used to successfully calm the horse down. After he relaxed, Romus moved past the rustling grass as if he had never spooked at it. Emryn smiled to herself. The horse wasn’t cowardly; in fact he was rather intrepid in battle, as long as he knew what he was up against. It was when things took him by surprise that he became frightened. Worse, it wasn’t hard for something to startle him. A mere leaf dancing in the wind could set him off, although it usually didn’t take much to get him under control again. True to her positive, almost dogmatic nature, Emryn saw a good side to Romus’s jumpiness. Equines can sense many things humans cannot, and a nervous horse will let you know something is wrong sooner.
The rider surveyed the rolling countryside, with to signs of what she was searching for. Still no riders in sight. Emryn enjoyed horseback riding; it was her life. But this slow trotting across the plains, alone, with no combat whatsoever, was beginning to lose its appeal. She didn’t want to hurry Romus, which would only make him use energy that would be useful later, only for the sake of some activity. She could talk to her equine companion, but conversation ideas ran out quickly when the other party couldn’t even answer you. Finally she dropped the reins over the pommel, allowing her horse to choose the travel direction. Might as well, he was the one with better instinct. Sighing, she took advantage of her free hands and pulled off her helmet, which was beginning to get uncomfortable. Sitting on horseback with no handholds was no difficult task for her, even with her mount’s uneven gait. The wind felt pleasant to her warm scalp, which was beginning to feel moisture. For a moment Emryn left the helmet off, enjoying the breeze playing through her red hair. But soon she had to place it back on her head, having no place to put it. And she knew better than to cast aside armor.
As she was doing this, Romus suddenly threw his head back and neighed loudly. At first his rider thought it was only his boundless liveliness, but soon realized that he was greeting other horses up ahead. “Great job, Romus!” she exclaimed, again patting the brown fur of the horse. In truth he had done nothing more than follow the same course his rider had been directing him on. No matter; Emryn wasn’t afraid to praise her mount for nothing. But her tone changed to a mock admonishing one. “Now don’t you go running away from this group too,” she said with a laugh. That was how they had gotten into this mess in the first place. The two had been out with one of the patrols when orcs had launched a surprise attack on them. Romus had been so surprised, he had taken off. By the time he was finally restrained, the group was nowhere to be seen, and Emryn had been to busy trying to stop him that she had had no time to remember the way back. So they had wandered around for a full two days, trying to find a band of riders or get back to Edoras.
So here they were, safely back. The riders didn’t seem to be a patrol or anything, just some individuals exercising their horses. Still, they could just be waiting. Well, the best way to find out was to join them. Merely a few moments of Romus’s jolting trot, and they were there.

Manwawen quickly recovered from the fall, and brushed the dirt off her leggins and cloak. No one in the group seemed to notice, or care, and no one said anything. With a suspisious glance at them, the blonde elf remounted her red-gold steed, and steered the filly to the right. After only three paces of trotting, there was a rohan rider right infront of them, and Tambe stopped dead again.
This time Vanwawen fell onto the horse's silky neck, and easily sat back into the saddle.
"Suliad, mellon nin," she said, but then realized the human might not know elvish so said, "Greeting, my friend..."

(hope you meant me )
Aeariel stared at the riders.
"Mae govannen," she said, looking at them. "I saw someone fall..."
She looked around, waiting for someone to say something.

(yeah, you)
Manwawen blushed crimson, making her blue eyes more noticable.
"That was me..."

Aeariel smiled.
"You're okay, I assume?" she asked.

The elf nodded, and sighed. Suddenly she forgot what she was doing in Rohan, then remembered, and sighed.
I guess thats why they call me the Lost Maiden she thought...

"What are we all doing here?" asked Aeariel.

ooc: I was just wondering, where exactly are we? Are we just out in the middle of the plains, or are we by a town, or what?

(were in the plains... a few miles I think North of Edoras)
Vanwawen shrugged, "I was out for a ride. I'm not sure about the others over there,"
