Rhavaniel watched the conversation in silence, her eyes flicking casually over each person. Again she brushed frost from her shoulders, and then smiled.
It was nice not having to answer awkard questions. She was here from shelter- Refuge even. Meeting other people while at it was an uncommon but welcome difference.

Naladie was sleeping back further into the cave. she had just come from Rohan..she had to get out of there..she was huddled in the back of the cave sleeping when she heard a man walk in and start a fire. she lay there wondering if he was good or evil. you could never tell these days. she watched as a many folk walked in and joined the man at the fire. after a few hours they were all there she stood up and gathered her things and slowly and cautusly walked up to them. "does any one happen to have any food?" she asked softly. she was a bit nervous about meeting new people. she hadn't eatten for days.

Galahir winnied quietly and started to prance sideways stirring up a comotion in the other horses.
"I have some food in my saddle bags,"said Amith.
Amith got up and walk to Galahir. Her gray horse started pawing and snorting. At first she ignored it and reached for her saddle bags. Galahir snapped his teeth together as if in rage. "Oh, fine," she said to the horse in elvish, then went back to the common speech. "Lets see, 3 paws, 2 snort, and another paw," she mummbled just loud enough for the others to hear. "Oh! How many?" she asked Galahir in elvish again. He pawed the snow covered ground 6 more times.
Armith walked quickly back to the fire. "My horse, Galahir, says that there is a band of 6 ocrs about 150 meters from here."

"I can fight, but for the factor of orcs in the mountain, these are strange days, the shadow is spreading," Armith said also standing. She walked to Galahir and took her longbow and strung it, then placed her quiver on her back. "Should we wait for them to come to us, or should we go find them?"

Alethra opened her eyes as the sound of voices, the taunting scent of food and the inviting glow of a fire beckoned her. Leading her mare into the group, she cleared her throat. "Good evening, my friends. Might a cold traveller sit about your cheery fire?" she inquired.

"You can," said Armith, " But just so you know, there are 6 orcs 150 meters from here."

Alethra stiffened. "I shall deal with them. If anyone wishes to accompany, they are more than welcome." she set off at a brisk pace, leaving her mount behind.
Unsheathing her sword, she hugged the rocks to remain out of view. Sure enough, the orcs were arguing over some unimportant detail. Using their argument to her advantage, she dove at three closest, beheading them in one swing of her blade.

Armith set down her bow on the side of the cave and ran after her, unsheathing her Icebiter also. She could not stand the thought of missing a chance to kill what killed her family. Her eye when to her hateful black as she stabed one though the belly and lunged at the next, stabbing it though the throat.
