The company left Bree and started to make their way down the brandywine river, there was hardly any talk for a while, they simply listened to the soft chattering of birds, and felt the warm sun on their skin. It was a few hours until Thaldir eventually broke the silence.

"So, what is your business at treebeard's hill?" He asked, turning towards Daena, but offering the question to any of the three.

Daena shrugged and slowed her horse down to ride next to Thaldir.

"I've always wanted to see it. I wanted to smell the air of Fangorn Forest, wanted to see the trees, wanted to... to... experience the history... Just wanted to be there. It must be wonderful. So wonderful.",she said, her eyes shining.

This was the first (and one of the very seldom) moment the company should see her eyes shine.

She then shaked her head and looked at Thaldir. "Now what about you? Why did you want to join us?", she asked, now friendly.
