Elwen cast about for something to say to him, some kind of response to what he had said to her, but with little success. She just didn't know how to respond..something that chagrined her greatly. She knew she felt the same way that he did, she had known that for a while now, but she didn't know how to express it. At all.

But then there where too many Elves up and about, talking and having an good time. Turwaithiel forced herself to go and sit again, in the corner, putting down her cloak and taking an sip of Elven Water, sighed. She tried to have an good time but an growing threat kept coming into the back of her mind, and she couldn't get it out.

Locien chuckled "I'd offer you a walk but I fear... 'Ro is having an emotional breakdown..." He pushed his hair away from his eyes "Uncanny that one is. He grew up with the emnotional range of a teaspoon... And now he has the range of half the palace."

Sadron waited there, waited for her to speak to him. His eyes begged her to speak, even if to cast him off, but this was worse.
Pulling himself togther roughly, he stood straight, and gave a curt bow so she should not see the tears that threatnd to fall. With that he disappeared through one of the side doors into an corridore.

The elf shrugged and averted her gaze from the door, half hoping he would just get on with it and come out.

Lowering her head once he had left, Elwen roughly berated herself, as tears pricked at her eyes. I've just as good as ruined things.. the thought weighed heavily at her mind, and she was half-tempted to go after him..but dreaded what might happen if she did that. Right then, however, she didn't care, and if things were ruined between them, well, she at least needed to apologize before just moving on. It's the right thing to do.. the thought came quietly, unbidden, and she knew it was right..so, follow after Sadron, she did, steeling herself for anything that might be thrown at her, whether spoken words, or just emotions..

Meleth nodded. "Though who could not love Sadron? I mean, whoever this elleth is he's after, she'd be well advised not to push him away. He's right to try, even if it isn't successful." She looked up, a brief smile flashing across her face. "I never tried."

Locien smiled cheekily "I wont reject you elleth, if you do try." His dark eyes glittered from behind thick lashes.

Sadron hastily wiped at his eyes as he heard footspes coming along the corridore- It didnt take a genious to work out who they belonged to.
So he took off further down, slipping into an unused room, and leaning heavily against the door.

After a few moments of looking, Elwen finally realized he was avoiding her, but knew she likely deserved it. "That's what I get for being such an idiot.." she said angrily to herself, before leaning against a wall, and ended up sliding down into a sitting position. Resting her head back against the wall, she squeezed her eyes shut, trying to hold back tears, as recognition of what she had done dawned on her.

Meleth, surprised, looked up and her black eyes met his. She opened her mouth as if to say something and closed it again, looking confused and unsure. She hesitated, not knowing how to respond, and finally smiled tentatively. "That - would be, ah, I suppose I should thank you," she stammered, hands twisting her dress furiously. She suddenly stood. "I - it's very hot in here - if you'll excuse me -" and fled.
Poor confused Meleth leant against a railing of one of the outside balconies, a hand to her head.

Turwaithiel saw Meleth ran outside to the balconies, and she stood and followed. When she walked over to her, she said, "Meleth? Are you okay?" She asked her, worried.

Meleth hastily looked up, a little flushed. "Oh - it's you - no, I'm - fine," she said, distracted. She leaned backwards against the railing, letting her hair fall out behind her and the breeze sweep it away. "Just a little - confused, I suppose."

Turwaithiel put her hand togethor and leaned against the railing, sighing. "My night has ben full of confusion, my friend...you are not alone." She said, sighing heavier now.

Meleth couldn't concentrate on anything Turwaithiel was saying. She could see Locien from where she stood, looking back into the brightly lit hall, and something entirely new stirred in her. She quickly looked away, flushing scarlet.

Turwaithiel looked over where Meleth was looking and saw her blush. "Ahhh..." She said, smiling a little. "Good luck to you, my friend." She said, before standing and leaving her to her thoughts.
