"Sausages and bread..." Gandalf stated as he pointed to the fire he had started sometime when they were sleeping.

"Smells delicious. I do not know how you guys traveled to Rivendell without much to eat." Pandora smiled before remembering those events probably had not happened yet and for movie purposes they were not going to stop and eat. She shrugged her shoulders and rolled the sleeping bag up before putting on the Riding cloak she had taken off in the night.

"Do you think we will reach Rivendell today Gandalf?" She was now very excited to be visiting the elves.

"Well, did you find what you came for?" Ellethwen didn't realizeCeleborn was talking to her until, patiently, he repeated the question.

"Oh, yes, I did find it. May I please go now?" Ellethwen waited for his nod of consent, then left as fast as she could.

Gandalf laughed. "It all depends on our pace. What do you say we eat quickly and get an early start?"

Gwenneth was more than eager to eat breakfast. Anxiety always made her hungry.

After everyone had finished, they began packing things up. It was then that Gwenneth remarked that Dark was still not back yet from butterfly chasing.

"We can't start without her, can we?" She asked.

"Let's have a look around," said Gandalf.

Elenriel continued along Old Forest Road with Legolas and his small company for what seemed like hours. She had never journeyed so far nor so long with so few pauses. We must have traveled close to a hundred miles if not more. she thought wearily, every muscle in her body screaming with fatigue. To her great relief Legolas halted the company several miles from the mountain pass they were to take to reach Rivendell. "We shall take a short pause here." He turned and looked at Elenriel then. "Get some rest. We shall set off soon." he said gently. Elenriel nodded and quickly dismounted while the other elves quickly scouted the area, making sure they were not followed. She quickly tended to Turtegiel before sitting on the grass, too weary to think of anything else.

Dark came back to teh group, covered in sticks and leaves.

"I caught the butterfly....but it looks sick or something. Do you think that the poisons of Saruman have really reached this far? It's looks like it's flying on dead wings." SHe opened her hands a little to reveal a sickly looking butterfly, with almost-not-there wings and a sickly looking body.

"Poor thing, i think it might die." Looking to the South-East and frowning, thinking about what Saruman was going to do...or doing.

Gandalf looked around and found Dark and brought her back over to the group before dousing the fire with water that come out of nowhere. The girls were no longer fazed by such antics and continued to pack up their camp.

"Ready?" He asked Gwen, Pan, Dark, and Anduril.

"Yes " they replied in unison before they continued their trek through the moving roots towards Rivendell.

"We are going to see the elves!" Pandora said before breaking out in laughter. There she went quoting from the trilogy again.

Elenya yawned enormously-she had stayed up late watching Return of the King. Half-asleep, she slipped into her pajamas

and fell into bed, not bothering to pull up the covers, and was asleep withing minutes.

The next morning Elenya woke up before the sun was up. The first thing she noticed was her bed was unusually hard and bumpy. She shifted sleepily, trying to get comfy. It wasn't any good. She opened her eyes and looked around. She wasn't in her bedroom-she was under the open pre-dawn sky, surrounded by rock walls in ruins. She blinked, tried to clear her vision, yawned, and lay back down, trying to fall back asleep. After a minute she sat up. <i>Guess it's not a dream.</i> she thought. Elenya looked at her surroundings, trying to make sense of it all through her sleeppiness. Suddenly she was wide awake. "Oh my gosh! This is Weathertop!"

She threw back her head and laughed at Pan's line. But thruth be told, she was excited about seeing the elves. Maybe she'd meet Elrond, or catch a glimpse of Arwen.

Gwenneth was a bit more cheerful, as she usually was in the morning. The forest didn't seem half as frightening now.

The group walked on for a few hours, and the time seemed to go by quickly.

"The end is near," said Gandalf. "Perhaps half a day's journey until we are out."

"I do not think I want ever see trees again, unless it is the forests of Mirkwood." She smiled earning her a raised eyebrow from Gandalf causing a blush to form on her cheeks.

"Well lets not dally." Pandora said moving the conversation somewhere else than on her embarrasement, now she could notstop thinking about the other wonders of Mirkwood

Caunion and Boromir continued riding. "We must be getting close," Boromir said, in front of Caunion. "Maybe another day or less."
"Where are we," Caunion said. Now that it really mattered. He had no idea where was Rivendell from wherever they were.
"I think we are somewhere near Moria," he replied.
So far, they had no attacks since the Orc raid last night. It has been actually boring riding with no threats or attacks.

I was cured all right.

Gwenneth found it hard to stop giggling. For if any fan girl had traveled to Middle-Earth, the first thing they would beg for was Mirkwood -- or what dwealt within in that forest.

I guess if our time is just right, we really will meet the Prince in Rivendell.
She had a hunch that Pan was thinking the same.
Maybe, Gwenneth's thoughts continued. there are other A-Uers who have landed in Mirkwood.
This amused her very much, and she spent a great deal of time in silence, pondering over where her specific friends were likely to land.

During their next break, Gwenneth took Pandora aside.

"Do you think Gandalf would know why or how we got here?" She asked. "Maybe he can put some answers to these riddles."

Elenriel sat on the grass, allowing the wind to whip at her strands of dark hair. She had never felt so exhausted in her life. Legolas approached her then. “Have you used weapons before?" he asked. Elenriel quickly turned, startled. "My apologies, I did not mean to frighten you." he said softly. "It's alright, I did not hear your approach. And no, I have never used weapons except in a mock swordfight with my younger cousins-but I have had no real training." "And yet you had the audacity to poke an approaching orc in the eye?" he asked, smirking. "It was either that or be dinner. And I have no desire to satiate the appetite of any creature." she replied in amusement. "Nevertheless, your instincts are sound. Keep these with you. You may have need of them." he replied as he handed her two elven daggers. “How far are we now from Rivendell?” she asked. “Within a day or two we should arrive, depending on our pace. If we travel unhindered we may arrive sooner.” Legolas paused then before continuing. “Elenriel, I am truly sorry for forcing you on this intense pace. Elenriel gave him a worn smile. “It’s quite alright. I had whether race to Rivendell than meet up with a Black Rider." she replied. "Or nearly become dinner to a group of hungry orcs” she added wrly, getting a slight chuckle from the prince.

Elenya got up slowly, looking around. Yep, it sure looked like Weathertop. The stone floor was cold-she lifted one foot and pressed it against her leg. <i>That sucks, no shoes.</i> she thought. Her stomach rumbled. <i>And no food.</i> She put her foot back down, made a face, and walked towards one of the tumbled-down walls. Looking out a gap in the stone she couldn't see much through the pre-dawn dark, but it looked like she was on a hill surrounded by flat plains. Like Weathertop.
Elenya talked outloud to herself, mostly to break the unnatural stillness. "Ok, this looks like Weathertop. Where's my bedroom? And the house? Maybe I'm just dreaming." She pinched herself on the arm. Nothing happened. She pinched it again. Nothing. "Ok, so maybe I'm not dreaming." she said outloud, trying cheer herself up. <i>What am I going to do?</i>

(Just to refresh your memories (of many pages ago!))

After a quick introduction to her newest riding companion (Luthien of Canada, meet Mirima of Lorien), Luthien mounted the white mare that had been provided for her. Grateful for those riding lessons she had begged her Mum for two years ago, she felt pretty comfortable in the saddle.

"Oh, I had almost forgot my lady," Calanon said as they traversed between mallorn trees, "Here is your breakfast." He held out an awfully familiar package- thin bread wrapped in a leaf. Luthien smiled as she took it; lembas, I have always wanted to try it. She nibbled a little, and found it surprisingly light and pleasant. Certainly she could live on this for quite a while.

They rode on through the beautiful forest, mostly silent, except for greeting any passing Elvish citizen. Just then, she spotted a figure hurrying through the forest, looking slightly lost, and un-Elflike. Luth pointed this out, and the head Elf, Lord Urúvion, steered his horse toward the wanderer.
