*Sen stepped back, as Melachor dissapeared. He laughed, and spoke quietly to himself.*
Fool. He provided me with all the power I need, and I know just the spell...
*Sen turned to the fire elementals, and stuck out his hand. The air began to heat up around him, and with a puff of ice crystals, the elementals and the portal disappeared. Sen placed his swords together, and they began to glow with a dark purplish light, and the air went cold. He jammed his swords forward, and, like going through tar, they dissapeared. He began to draw a circle, very slowly and very difficultly in the air, a tear appearing behind his sword blade, with energies swirling inside. He finished the circle, and withdrew his swords. With one solid push, the circle collapsed, and beyond was an area of darkness, though with a soft blue glow coming from what appeared to be the floor. He stepped through, and the tear sealed itself behind him. He stood there for a second, and a voice spoke out of the darkness, followed by a clicking as of bone on tile...*
Ah, my old ward, what brings you here? Surely no one else has died, so to challenge me again?

Melachor climbed onto his chair taking heavy breathes, he hadn`t felt like it since. Since the only moment of weakness he had in his life in the woods all alone, he had exteeded his powers and used them all over again and again without cost, but the test and power began cathing up with him. He didn`t know, if Sen could follow or not, but he hoped it to slow him down at least so that Melachor could just quit this once and for all.
He hated what he was, or a part of what he was and as he returned to his library he cursed to himself. He sat on a wooden chair in the library taking out a book of his past. The latest was on a wooden pedastal with a feather next to an ink bottle, it was the 14th that he was writing about his life. He made entries when he had certain events in his life and others too. He opened the book slowly with good old memories coming from it.
Chapter 8
Today I met an interesting young woman or young would be the wrong word perhaps, she is a child of valar, which makes me ponder even more what am I?
A maia? But every maia looks after a people of theirs or represent their gods, but if I was one of them then why don`t I remember anything of it? I am not sure, but this is the strongest possibility presented to me all tough I doubt it highly.
After she will be gone I will leave Mordor too as the shadow will be striken down and I am free from my oath to Sauron, I will leave towards mirkwood perhaps to find a peaceful place to continue my newly found way of life. A way of life so wretched it almost disgusts myself, but the other offering is knowledge of myself and others of my kind.
How can I resist?
Trough the torment and pain of others I will learn, but also they will learn and I fear that the pain blinds them from learning, but that is their own fault.
Or is it?
Melachor closed the book pondering his last days in Mordor, those days for which Sen was going to judge him and soon Sen would come to his library, which wouldn`t be a surprise.

*Sen shook his head.*
Nay, my friend, not to challenge you. Just to travel to a place, seeking passage through your realm.
*Death smiled.*
Very well. Yet stop by and talk longer; I do miss company, now that Necrom has left for a while...
*Sen smiled, and stepped through an archway that had appeared next to Death. He appeared in the entrance of Melachor's hideaway...*

Melachor sensed Sen and looked back at the library door, but continued reading his journal silent and when he thought that Sen would be at the door he spoke.
"You wouldn`t mind not making a mess in this place? These books are all that I have really and are my most priced posessions..."
Melacor said as he turned a page in the book.

*Sen stepped inside the room.*
I will not harm the books. Though I wonder why you ran from our confrontation. It is not over.

Melachor turned another page after a moment of reading.
"So it would see... but.."
Melachor hit the book roughly closed and placed it in the shelf, he had a small faint of the coughed blood on his lips.
"I am afraid that it shall be far as it goes... I have no intentions of dying since it seems that finally all the powers that I have used troughout time without a price have come to claim my body as a price if I continue so rapidly and without a long long rest.... so.. are you still going to fight me all tough I wouldn`t defend myself... would you strike a defenseless man down even tough he is everything you loathe as I expect?"

*Sen stood, and slid his swords back into their sheathes.*
No, Melachor. We shall continue this another time, when your aged body has not failed you.
*With a step backwards into the shadows, Sen was gone...*

Melachor hmped, the word aged felt like he was an old man, but what could he do next. He looked aroubd in the candle light at the books and knew that there was no book that he had not read. Perhaps he should go look for more and finding new persons to seach, not perhaps test, but observe them.
Melachor cast a small spell soon being an old man, he looked at himself with a slight laugh and took his staff. He closed the library door and looked at a shadow in the corner watching him.
"You now have the responsibility of my books.... should any be read or destroyed I hold you as a responsible..."
He walked the stairs down to a small hall and soon exited the dead tree, he looked around and kept on walking.

*Sen reappeared next to Deawen, and sat down heavily beside her.*
It is finished, for now. There will be no more fighting for a while, I think.

Melachor walked trough the woods and looked around, it all seemed refreshing, but he was still bothered by something. What was to come seemed darker than he had thought and Sen seemed to be ready to take it all, Sen would probably die stopping Maelon, but at least the world would be saved.
Yet...
There might still be something that Melachor could do.

That is alright, Deawen. Do not fret over what has happened in the past; yet learn from it, and so you should do from this.
