Meleth peered into the hall from where she stood, half-shadowed in a door way. She chewed her lip absently, hoping that nobody would ask her to dance and feeling rather confident that nobody would anyway, so she need not worry.

Sadron slinked catlike back into the bustle of the hall, and seated himself next to his sister, eyes downcast- No words were needed to show he was upset, so she did'nt ask, merely smiled sadly, and angled her head to watch the dancers pair up.
"Never mind... Next time will be better..."
"Well, I dont want to wait another century for love to waltz along!"
"Then take the next chance and head out of here... Maybe you will find mortals more to your taste..."
