Sygnet listened intently. Lava streams sounded like the least of their problems at the moment but she couldn't be too sure that they weren't as dangerous as they seemed. Her idea of a stream was water that you could jump across to the other side. Perhaps she was wrong.

As they journeyed the lava streams that started out quite latge streamlined down to smaller branches. They always followed them from larger to smaller.

Suddenly however the elves stopped and Micha hovered his hand to his sword.

"Something is coming," Eshlyn stated.

"A young dragon likely," micha stated. "I was hoping we would be able to make the journey without running into one of those."

Sygnet unsheathed her sword and looked around, "How...big are these hatchlings?" she asked tentatively, stepping over a lava stream and looking for the oncoming enemy.

(That is pretty cool. Sounds like it would make a fun rp. . )


"Not terribly large... Hopefuly," Micha said tentatively. "Not usually."

As the group waited, swords ready, they were all quite surprised to see just what came around the corner. It was not a dragon, in fact. It was a large mole... As large as a dragon. Riding the mole was a slender figure. The young man's face was white as snow, his hair only a shade darker than his skin. His eyes were ice blue and he wore a light tan outfit that looked somewhat like a uniform.

Micha sighed. "Raze!" He lowered his weapon. "How did you know we were here?"

"She saw you coming," Raze told him.

Micha seemed to shutter and looked away. He said nothing.

Sygnet had raised her sword but didn't lower it, even after Micha had. She gave him a questioning look before looking the man, "Raze" up and down, surveying him and his mount. She was suspicious about him and moved a step closer to Micha.

(Sounds like an idea. feel free to enter her in anytime. We still have almost a days journey theough "dragon territory" or she could come in later.)


Micha sat in silence for a moment and as Sygnet moved his way he glanced up to her. He could tell she didnt seem to trust the man... Which was understandible. Many of the races had let the existance of ice people passbinto legend and beyond common knowledge.

"Who is this man?" Eshlyn finally asked.

"He," Micha began. "Is the one who we are traveling to see... Or rather... He is the one who will take us to her." Micha acted as though he didnt want to name this, "her."

Raze nodded. "You remember the path well, Micha. I can escort you back to Icicle City."

Sygnet was still apprehensive as they followed him. The baby dragons here gave her an idea. A long-time friend from Lothlorien could be here. The elf had moved to Rohan and found a dealer with a dragon egg. Much to her surprise, it had hatched and she raised a baby dragon in a hut in the woods. Sygnet didn't know what became of her but possibly Raze might know of her. She followed behind Micha, not too sure if she should bring it up or not. Perhaps the time would come later.

As they followd at a steady pace Raze suddnely stopped his giant mole. "There are dragons coming," he stated. His mole twitched it's nose and shook it's head.

Micha unsheathed his sword and looked over to Sygnet then to Raze. "How many?"

Eshlyn and Nessia also drew their weapons and stood at the ready.

Sygnet shifted slightly and raised her weapon in her left hand, pulling out her could whip in the other and waiting for the moment when she should use it. She looked at Raze, waiting for an answer.

(Does not matter, it is as open to your imput as it is to mine. . )

"Just a few," Raze answered. "But it feels like they are youth, not babies."

Sygnet nodded and raised her sword before the younglings arrived, squealing and growling. Among them was another being. This one was tall, just a shadow and as Sygnet prepared to unleash her whip, the figure cried out, "Stop!" in a feminine voice and the dragons stopped their advance and turned to look at it.

"Sygnet....is that you?" the woman's face wasn't recognizable in the shadow but Sygnet dropped her sword and her whip to run forward and embrace her old friend.

"Valadhiel!" she cried, flinging her arounds around the woman's neck and the woman, Valadhiel laughed out loud, "What are you doing here, my friend?" she asked.

(Sounds good to me . ).
Micha was ready as well to fight the creatures. However as the women cried out and Sygnet reaponded with a fond greeting he sat confused yet releaved. Apparently Sygnet knew this women. Which meant, hopefuly, they would not have to fight the dragons.

Eshlyn and Nessia stood in silence, awaiting Sygnets exination as much as Micha. Raze, on the other hand seemed to not be quite so surprised.

Sygnet and the woman walked over to the awaiting group and Sygnet introduced her friend, "Micha, Eshlyn, this is Valadhiel, an old friend of mine," she said, smiling.

Valadhiel inclined her head politely, "A pleasure to meet some friends of Sygnet," she said. Her hair was a gorgeous shade of honey and her eyes were a dark, piercing blue. She was taller than Sygnet by a few inches and her face was clean, despite the living conditions.

Micha stepped forward and gave a polite nod in return. "A friend of Sygnet is a friend of mine."

Eshlyn and Nessia stood back a ways but noted the women's pressence.

Micha looked over to Sygnet. "Looks like we both have connections in this mountain... I only hope tours are a little more pleasent than mine."

A smaller dragon came toward Valadhiel and rubbed his neck against her leg and she responded by petting it.

Sygnet smiled, "Well, shall we get a move on, then?" she asked, looking around at Raze and Micha. She picked up her fallen equipment and sheathed her sword.

Micha nodded. He had no desire to draw this out any longer but thankfully it seemed like having Sygnet along this time made everything far easier than his last visit. Neither the dark cave nor the dragon infested lava land seemed as though it held the same potent poisons as before.

The group moved on and no trouble came from dragons. Soon they crossed out of lands of lava and it became cold once more. This cold was not a typical cold, however. This cold seemed to start in the bone and threaten to freeze the spirit not just the flesh.
