Anira ceased her struggles as she watched the wolfman wrapped his hand around Deawen's neck. Her blue eyes widened in fear, and as much as she hated to, she knew she had to acquiesce to their opponent's demands. To attack them now with her magic would be too dangerous. Her lightning magic may go awry and injure of her comrades instead. "No! Don't harm her! Please!" she cried.

Morwen was not aware that she had awoken, but she found herself on her feet. SHe was also not sure how the hatchet that usually hung from her pack had found its way out of its sheath and into her hand. She felt herself speak in a tongue she did not know: "Harm them not. Your Lord wishes them to be alive! That also means unharmed, Cerrwulf!” From behind a haze of clouds, she recognized the language as the growling, deep-throated language she had heard when they were first attacked. “Especially not this one,” she said as she walked to Deawen and put the axe to her stomach. She brought her face close. Deep inside, the real Morwen tried to show that this was not her. She tried to speak the truth, but a damper fell on her ability like a stone wall. The only word she would utter was, “Nífara!” (stranger).

(OOC: I must say, not a bad way to circumvent the fact that I have no idea what the language was that Deawen used in the first place. =) )

( not bad, )
Hope that Morwen was creating a distraction, flooded Deawen. But it was quickly dashed by Morwen placing the hatchet on Deawen's stomach. The word nifrara, spraked something but it remained dormant for the time being, as Deawen was being led away, she growled something to morwen, still clinging to the hope it was all a deversion. Doubt still lingered.

Anira growled silently as she was led away after Deawen. For years she had been trained in patience, but now her patience was stretched to her limits. Morwen, what is wrong with you? she wanted to scream, but bit her tongue. The wolfman roughly shoved her forward and it took all her control to bit back her retort. Mark my words, wolfman, when we are free, you will sorely regret crossing me.

*Sen awoke slowly from his nightmares, into a situation which was not much better. A wolf man was standing over him, blade to his throat, shaking him awake. He did not start, and get his own throat slit for the trouble; he lay there against the wall, silently fuming. Though something was different... he could move again... He quickly looked around, to see how the others fared, and saw Morwen speaking with the wolfmen. Commanding them. Anger grew deep inside, though with a small hint of doubt.*
Morwen, what treachery is this?

Laughter issued from Morwen's mouth at Deawen's growls. "A quiet dog is a dog not beaten. Ah," she paused, "the fire lord is awake. Welcome!" She growled, and two more wolf men came into the cave and took hold of him. She addressed them: "Careful that he can not use his powers. Bind him and take him outside!" As the two soldiers moved to obey, she said sarcastically to Sen, "You have judged correctly, Lord Sen. Your keen senses have made you so astute." When Morwen heard this, her initial listlessness gave way to a violent effort to regain control. THis took the presence by surprise and gave her a few moments: "Nán, nán, nán! Se ceald! Nis me!" (No, no no! The cold! It is not me!). She felt a jolt, like her mind was tugged back by a rope. She felt the presence say, I don't know what you said, but there will be greater consequences if you do that again. Outwardly, Morwen turned stone serious and told one last guard to bind her body and lead them out.

(Ah Morwen such words you use)
Deawen refused to believe that Morwen, her friend through long and bitter years had betrayed her. Morwen's sudden change of countance made Deawen have to double take. The icy wind slammed Deawen with such a force she nearly buckled. Deawen's hands were bound with a corse rope. , she writhed her hands till her fingers were wet with sweat or blood, She stretched and strained in the darkness and the hours crawled on like years, marching till they came to a lake. The lake stretched on behind a great boulder, only it's edges were frozen. tied to a small but sturdy dock was a large barge. Deawen dug her heels into the snow, refusing to go near or in boat. A deep but persistant fear of water suddenly reared it's ugly head. Like a mule Deawen locked her legs and pushed backwards. " No!" she stated firmly, but her captors were stronger than her and pushed her forward. Deawen whirled around, snorting smoke, the wolfmen took a step or so back taken back by a sudden doubt that Deawen could and would do something drastic.

Anira grimaced slightly as the blast of cold wind struck her face. Calling upon her magic, she lessened the force of the gales somewhat as her captor forcefully led her forward. With her hands now bound, her eyes frantically scanned their surroundings for a means to escape, yet at the moment she was unable to formulate a workable plan. Growling in frustration she desperately began to work at her bonds, which only caused the rope to chafe her smooth, pale skin. As they neared the lake, Anira could see that Deawen resisting to go further and she quickly did the same. Yet, she struggles was of no avail as her captor still shoved her forward. Turning around to face the wolfman in a heated rage, her eyes began to glow and she toyed with the idea of striking the creature with her lightning.

*Sen was about to shout a comment back, but he paused. Something was wrong. That was not Morwen, or at least not her mind. He remained silent as he was dragged outside, shivvering slightly in the cold. Glancing over at Deawen, he spoke directly into her mind...*
'Deawen, let this play out. Our work may be done for us...'
*He smiled, and held a thumbs up behind his back... He could move again...*

Deawen wasn't paying attention to Sen at first. Her gaze was locked on the freezing water ahead of them. As if from a spell she snapped her attention to Sen. " what?" she asked, but she was sidetracked by her captors. Appearently from some silent order, it was decided that the only way to get Deawen on the barge was to blindfold her and then carry her onboard. Deawen was too fixed on the water to care, she felt the cloth bind her eyes and felt a small sense of releif, faint and vague but none the less a hope. The wolfman that picked her up handled her as if at any moment she would break or burst in a flaming rage. Deawen remained passive even as the barge rocked slightly as they boarded. Deawen tensed but made no attempt to struggle. THe wolfman set her gently down on the barge floor near the center. He didn't take the blindfold off fearing she might panick. Deawen opened her mind to Sen again once she was calm, " I hate water...I hate boats" she commented weakly. She wanted desparatly to be right next to Sen, his reassurance would do wonders. But her fear made her gift astranged and lost like a fog, she could not pinpoint where Sen was. " WHere are you?" she asked.

Morwen felt herself hit someone as she was tossed onto the barge. Even though her senses were dulled, it still hurt her shoulder. She was tired from fighting the voice in her head, but it would not let her sleep. It seemed intent on torturing her, calling her a weak human and boring into memories and twisting the details. This was a pain worse than anything physical.

Seeing Sen and Deawen offer little resistance, Anira allowed the light from her eyes to fade before she was roughly thrown into one of the boats. Seething quietly at their captors she said nothing, wondering what would become of them on this journey.

Eston sat quietly he watched Deawen and Sen on guard for any sign of a resitance. None came so he sat with the others. He helped Anira into a sitting position. " Are you ok?" he asked her quietly.
Deawen's body and mind begged for sleep, but she fought it bitterly. There was no way she was going to sleep now. It wasn't her fear bothering her but a since that if she slept something could enter her mind.

Anira nodded to Eston. "I'll be fine, and thanks." she said as he helped her to a sitting position. Curse these ropes, she thought bitterly to herself as she began to struggle with her bonds again, hating to be held at the mercy of any man or creature. "I wonder where they are taking us..." she finally mused aloud.

Eston remained silent for a second, " I am not sure exactly, we are heading the wrong way to be taken back to the outpost. I assume we are Heading towards the WinterKing's domain." he said softly, he glanced at Deawen. " Where ever we are going I think it will take a heavy toll on Deawen." he fell silent again. " SHe can't take the cold, I just hope she and Sen can support each other through this one"

In Morwen's dreams, she relived the happiest moments of her life, big and small: her wedding, each of her promotions, a compliment from Lady Eowyn or an officer, as a child riding bare-back at home with Deawen, meeting Deawen for the first time. Each memory that surfaced was marred almost beyond recognition, either changed or ending in tragedy. The memory of her first time on a horse ended with her being bucked off, hitting her head on a rock and dying. Once in a while, a bad memory would pop up, and the presense enhanced every feature until Morwen couldn't stand it: her mother's death, the deaths of friends in battle, a broken arm, gory battle, and many of the evils of Grima Wormtongue. She cried aloud, "Habban árfæstnes!"
