Niell held his sword in a defensive position. Trying to stab the wraith would only result in a broken arm, or worse. He heard a third screech from behind Silmarwen. His eyes darted back behind him just in time to see a wraith emerge, sword drawn and advancing quickly.

Silmarwen cursed in elvish and kicked the wraith in front of her just as she heard the swoosh of something behind her. It must have been a trap, and they fell for it. She grimaced as she ducked to avoid the blade of the wraith behind her, and she swung her sword, angling the flat of her blade so it would smack into the wraith, though she knew it could hardly do any damage.

Haldir sensed a disturbance in the wind. "What the?...", then it snapped, "WRAITH!!!! EVERYONE HIDE!!!! NOW!!!!!".

Niell looked at Silmarwen then back at the advancing nazgul. He was trying to decide if he should go help or worry about the other wraith. The decision was made for him when the wraith passed him and started advancing towards Silmarwen and the other wraith. Thinking quickly he drew one of his daggers and threw it. It spun oddly and the hilt hit the wraith in the back. The dark creature turned on him and started toward him.

Silmarwen briefly nodded her thanks to Niell then blocked the blade of a wraith just in time.

(OOC: *pulls out handbook "How to Kill a Wraith"* hmmm... let's see.. )

She grabbed the cloak of the one and pulled hard, managing to cause it to fall, but that was all she could do. Ducking the blade of the other wraith, she grumbled and ran towards it, tackling it to the ground, then rolled away quickly before the wraith could get at her. She ran a distance and fumbled with flint and a torch like stick. Quickly she managed to light it, then she tossed it to Niell. "Here! Keep them back with this!" She looked and saw one wraith but not the other, and turned around nervously. Silmarwen barely avoid a blade being slash at her, though it caught her arm slightly. Kicking the blade out of the wraith's hand, she stomped hard on it, snapping it, then turned to face the other.

Haldir hid the others in the forest nearby and drew Aithirl and Aiglos. "Silmarwen....keep them back...please....", Haldir whimpered.

Niell caught the torch in one hand, barely able to keep a firm grip on his sword with the other. He swung the fire around and it hit a wraith that had been coming up behind him. He hadn't meant to hit it but it seemed to be a pretty good occurence, since the flaming wraith had abandoned his sword completely and was moving away swiftly. He turned back to the battle he felt a shock of pain rip through his temple and next thing he knew he was on the ground. The gash over his eye had reopened and he had to squeeze his eye shut tightly to avoid getting any blood in it.

Niell ran over to where he had dropped the torch, reached down and grabbed it. He turned around just in time to see Silmarwen get stabbed in the side. He looked at the dark blade. He couldn't tell if it was a morgul blade in the dim light but he hoped that it wasn't. He had seen the results just a small cut from those blades could deal out.

Silmarwen held off the one wraith, while the other went after Niell, but it hesitated, seeing the torch. Holding her side, she delt a few heavy blows with the flat of her blade, causing the wraith to back off for a while.

Niell moved his sword to block the wraith's blade as it swung at him. With his other hand he swung the torch around. But the wraith saw it at the last moment and moved out of the way. Niell cursed under his breath and looked over to see how Silmarwen was faring. She seemed to be holding her own, but fighting off two wraiths couldn't be an easy task. "Silmarwen, catch," he yelled as he tossed the torch to her.

Silmarwen went to catch the torch, but it took her attention off one of the wraiths, the one who's blade she had broken, and it knocked her to the ground, just as the torch handle touched her fingers. She scrambled after the torch, but was pulled back as the wraith grabbed at one of her boots. The other nazgul, who still had a blade, aproached and she kicked desperately at the one grabbing her leg. Managing to free herself, she grabbed the torch and swung it into the face of the wraith who had grabbed her. It ran off screeching, its whole cloak catching fire.

Silmarwen got to her feet and turned just in time to duck the strike of the other nazgul. She thrust the torch forward and that wraith also took off at a run.
