She glances at Goldleaf with a raised brow and then looks down at Maeth, "Im surprised at how badly they are for a hundred... We've done worse." Her words echo inside her friend's mind as she sits on the ground and rummages through her bag yet again. "Ill have something for the pain once Miss. Gentle is done with you sir."

Rain sighed, and leaned against a tree.
"We were headed to Minas-Tirith, and were ambushed. The troll's what really made the most damage. As soon as possible I'm going to get going again. I guess it was lucky for us you came along when you did, but would have been more lucky if you had come earlier," she said, taking out her sword and cleaning it with her now shortened, bloodied, and tattered cloak.
Note to self: get new cloak in Minas-Tirith, she thought to herself...

She responded to Saira with a typical grin before returning to the man's wound. She stemmed the bleeding with the edge of her cloak and decided it would have to be washed sometime anyway, why not hurry the process? "Alright, lad. We're almost done," she says stopping her work for a moment she she can determine where best to place the final stitches. Nodding, apparently decided, she finished with three more in and out movements before tying off the extra thread. Without turning her head she called, "Saira, get a bandage for the boy and he will be on the road to recovery."

"Perhaps..." She glances at Rain and tilts her head to look at the girl. "But what has happened cannot be undone. Be grateful none of you are dead."
Bending forward, she looks at Maeth's stitching and nods approvingly. "Nice job mate." With a toss of her autumn curls, she takes a bandage soaked in something green and gently ties it around the wound. "You'll have to bear with the smell for a few days... But this is the very best thing I can use. We can take the stitches out in about a week." With a gentle smile she ties a small neat knot and stands. "Anyone else in need of medical attention?"

She nodded and looked down at her handy work. "I thought it was well done. Have at him," she said with a hint of a chuckle. She stood and stepped back from the man, and turned to Goldleaf, her dark eyes sweeping over her form in a quick appraising glance. "Alright, child. Come here, we'll get that arm stitched up." She attempted to give a reassuring smile, and completely failed, so she settled on letting her mouth fall into a straight line. She waved her hand to reinforce her previous order.

Then growled as the needled puntured skin. He clentched down hard on the cloth in his mouth, fighting the wave of pain that came with every stitch. The healer was swift, the only reason Threng managed to stay still through the whole operation. As she tied of the last stich, he spat out the cloth. The sewing had left him gasping for breath, and sent silent tears down his pale cheeks. "Thanks" He muttered, gritting through the pain of speech. With care, he pulled himself into a sitting position. THe world spun frantically for a moment, then stood still. Threng slidhimself over to a tree and laid against it.

Goldleaf stepped forward towards Maethoriel. "You're going to sew my arm up?" she enquired. "Well, thank you." She was grateful she had a wound that could be so easily fixed, that she had not been more badly hurt. A slashed arm was nothing. She thought of the way her family had died, the way so many people had died on that dreadful day she'd left for Ithilien, and all her pain seemed quite small. She smiled thinly and sat down. "With a needle?"

The woman glanced at her the black scar coursing down the left side of her face giving the amused look a more sever tone. She threw her head back and gave out a bark like laugh before responding, "Yes, that tends to be the preferred method for stitching." With that she dug through her worn leather russack and pulled out another curved needle and some clean thread. She gave the wraps to her like she did with Threng "Bite down on this." Without further warning she started on the woman's wound, her mouth set in a line as she concentrated on the wound.

She glances at Maeth and grins, "You, my friend, are one of the bravest people I have ever met." Cracking her neck, she sits on a log and studies a dead orc next to her. "I wish I could have been here... Its been a while since I fought this filth. Corsairs dont smell so bad however," she sniffs. Sighing she glances at Threng, "You want something for the pain mister?"

Goldleaf bit down on the piece of leather. The needle in her skin hurt, but it least it would get rid of the cut. She sat placidly and thought about Osgiliath. They should set off soon, when everyone was better. From there they would go to Minas Tirith, and would have some chance of helping with the war.

Once again she tied off the last of the stitches, "There you are, lass. You'll be fit as a fiddle soon enough." Standing she turned towards Saira again, her knife already unsheathed and twirling in her hand to relieve imminent boredom. "Ah, I wish I were so lucky...you wouldn't believe the places I've been in past few weeks," the sentence drops off as she wrinkles her nose. "Anyway, I've been to Erebor to knock some sense into a few stubborn dwarves, honestly Grair thinks I'll get myself killed without him," she said with a fond grin and rolled her eyes.
Looking about she nodded and agreed with Saira, "Yes, it would have been a nice change of pace. But there is nothing for it now."

Goldleaf stood up. "Thank you," she said to Maethoriel. "But may I ask you a question? Who are you and your friend - healers? Did you come from Osgiliath?" She felt an odd pang as she mentioned her old home.

She flashes Maeth one of her mischievous smiles and lifts a brow, "How did that go mellon? Last I heard there was some mighty strange things happening down there. I had to deliver some supplies to the camp almost six months ago, but after that I was at sea till about a week ago."
Her eyes narrow and she glances at Golfleaf, "No Miss... I am not human. And from where I am really matters not at this point in time."

"Oh." Goldleaf sighed with disappointment. "I'm Goldleaf. Me and my friends are heading towards Osgiliath. Would you like to come with us? We plan to go on to Minas Tirith for the up and coming war. I'm sure Gondor would be grateful for extra pairs of hands."

Sniffing she leans against a tree and idly plays with one of her curls, "Well none of you are in fit shape to go anywhere for at least a few days. After that I'll see. Maeth?" She looks questioningly at her friend.

Goldleaf smiled, picked up her sword from where it lay on the earth and sheathed it. She folded her arms. "I think you'll find that in Minas Tirith healers such as yourselves will be very welcome," she said. "There are many healers there, specialising in healing with herbs. And there is a tale that one day a king will come who has the gift of healing hands." Her face was bright, and her pale look had drained away.
