She grinned and looked at Saira, "Well I had a broken rib and he a broken nose and blackened eye...if that's any indication. But luck was on my side, the mountain was attacked and I disappeared after the battle."
She turned to Goldleaf and arched a brow, "I'm a taker of lives, not a healer. I'd be glad to lend a hand in the battle, though," she said tilting her head thoughtfully. "I've not been to the White City in over 300 years, I think it's about time for a visit."

She laughs for the first time, a silvery little laugh, "Oh yes. Have you heard what's come of it since?" Standing she goes and stands next to Maeth, a rather striking opposite to her friend, "I am a healer yes. But I think that of late I have become a warrior and a spy before hand. I may join you to the White City... But I have some pressing business North." Her voice solemn.

Goldleaf smiled. "If you are to join us, I must warn you that the Lord Denathor, Steward of Gondor is wary of any visitors. He has become ill at ease since his eldest son, Boromir of Gondor died." She kept her voice carefully neutral. "We have all long mourned for him, for he was brave and loved his people."

Laughing she slapped her knee, "Dinethor? Who in Valar's name entrusted a city to that man?" Shaking her head her face took on a more somber tone, "Although my sympathy goes out to him. No parent should ever bury their own child. It is not fair."
Glancing at Saira she shrugged, "I've heard nothing. The battle was ours, and Grair made it through. My job is done so long as that happens. I'm guessing he knows I've gone, though I don't suppose he's too happy about it. I'll get an earfull when I go back, but at the moment I need to find Mithrandir," she said as a final decisive thought. "Miss Goldleaf, you have yourself another companion."

She chuckles, "Ah yes. I do remember him being next in line... I had to visit the Great City when his boys were but children. Very sweet little toddlers. I'e heard that the Steward dotes on the older however..." She kneels and picks up a dead leaf, "Mithrandir... " A sudden smile, "You might have two. At least for the next month or so."

Goldeleaf smiled. "Excellent," she said. "I too hope that Mithrandir will be at Minas Tirith. He always arrives with wise counsel. I just hope that Lord Denathor is of enough wit to listen to his counsel." She paused. "I knew Denathor's sons as men - great warriors of men, like Numenorians walking among the people of the white city once more. However it is true that Denathor doted on Boromir."

She shrugged, "I want to give Mithrandir a piece of my mind...free loading old busy body. As for counsel," she continued wrinkling her nose in distatste, "there are few who listen to the counsel of wizards anymore. Whether the counsel is good or ill." She finished with a flourish of her constantly spinning knife. "I hope you have extra mounts, for I don't own a horse...or are you planning on making the trip on foot?"

Rain had kept quiet for awhile in thought.
"We're going on foot. I don't have a horse. And the others don't, as you can see by the lack of steeds here," she said idly, sheathing her sword which she had been cleaning. "Yet, you two will say what business you have in Minas-Tirith, yet don't say your names? I'd say you're a peculiar pair indeed."

She flashes Rain a mysterious grin, " I never stated my business Miss. I merely said that I would be joining you." With a toss of her curls she places the medicine bag back into her pack and winks at Maeth, "I think that you're still a little sore from your last encounter with Mithrandir. Still, it's with good purpose and at least your distain is much supported." She stares at the ground, lost in thought. Her lips move silently and she narrows her eyes, as though the leaf before her had done something terribly offensive. Then with a blink, her consciousness is dragged back to the present. "I think that we can do without horses till the next town. But we are going [i]nowhere[/] till you've all healed," Jerking her head towards Threng, "Specially that one."

Grinning she winked at Rain, "I've no business anywhere at the moment. This is merely a convenient arrangement, lass." Pursing her lips the sarcastic woman arched a brow to her companion, "I've a right to be sore with that prying old wizard, he's given me plenty of grief over my lifetime and I think it is past time for me to return the favor. Honestly, you can't expect one person to keep a whole mountain safe...and why a mountain? I hate being in those horrid places, you know that I sleep outside when I visit," shuddering a moment she shook her head. "Anyway, I believe the lad will be on his feet soon enough. He looks resilient," she said looking at Threng her dark eyes sweeping over his form apprasingly.

"He's still gonna need at least two days Maeth... " She smiles gently at her friend, "There is something the old man has to do dear. You can do whatever you want with him once he's fulfilled his purpose. I do not think that even I would have kept him alive that long unless I knew that..." Her emerald eyes go distant once more. "After all... They betrayed me because of his vagueness..."

{I'm so sorry I haven't been posting... life's been hectic!}
Garsun just then trudged into the clearing where the battle had just taken place. Sweat streamed from his forehead, and he was out of breath. He paused and took a look around.
"Awe, I got to sleep, wake up hearing voices, and find that I missed some action," he groaned, putting his battle hammer's handle on the ground and leaning on the head. Then he noticed the troll, and shook his head while he wipped the sweat off of it with his beard. "I sometimes wish I wasn't such a deep sleeper."

Rain sighed again.
"I know nothing of Mithrandir, never having met him or seen him in person. But..." she was about to say more when the dwarf crashed through the bushes to the group.
"Aye, dwarf, you missed a bloody battle. But I wonder how anyone could sleep through all the rucus(sp?) made by it," she chuckled.
(it's alright DR, I know how you fell. It was good that you were able to hop right in, though!)

She nodded, "I won't do the old man much harm, Valar forbid that could even get a hit in. But, a good yelling will satiate my anger. That wizard needs to stay far away from my life, and he's done a very poor job of it I must say. Two days? Really? But, it's just a scratch," she says glancing at the man, her judgement of wounds is greatly impaired by her own experiences, "Well, I can wait."
She glanced over at the dwarf, and tilted her head giving a customary greeting, "Many greetings, Master Dwarf," she said with a nod. She blinked and raised an amused brow, "You slept through a fight? Well I must say that requires talent," she finished with a laugh.

Garsun nodded greetings back to the woman.
"Aye, I'm a heavy sleeper. Sometimes it can be a blessing, while others not so much. This would be when it wasn't a blessing. I've been looking forward to smashing orc skulls with my hammer. Ever since I came to Gondor from the Lonely Mountain, hearing there was trouble," he grunted, and came closer to the group.
"And by the looks of it, I could've been big help. There'd probably be less casualties then."

She turns her head toward the latest addition - the dwarf. Her eyebrows shoot up and she grins, "Well well... Thats requires some serious talent. And I suppose it must be paired with being dwarfen..." Still looking seriously amused she stands and looks over to Maeth, "You must call me for the screaming part my dear. I have a few scores to settle with the Wise One myself..." Her last few words spoken with a little too much sarcasm, almost bitter-seeming.
