"I am willing to teach some....but I'd rather be in battle as soon as possible. Sparing people to tutor would also have us lose warriors in battle." Tur said, thinking about strategy.

Tulmind saw Rivendell's walls loom before him. There were more guards than usaul on the walls which told him the meeting was still in progress. The archers on the wall knocked an arrow on there strings for procaution. He hated being watched in a place that was supposed to be welcoming. When he placed his first foot into the water it seemed as if all of Rivendell knew of his coming. He bent down and washed his face. The ice cold water refreshed him. He sighed as he contiued, he would not be welcomed warmly for his late arrival.

Tulmind strode down the path as silently as he could be trying not to disturb the council. He turned the corner to enter the house of Elrond and saw the hole council staring at him with piercing eyes that would have peirced mithril. He let his head drop a little to show he was not proud of being late. Elrond then welcomed him to his empty seat and he sat down. "Lets get on with it then he thought."

Tulmind not comforted at all with Tur's smile. He scanned the crowd. The men looked at him with disgust, the dwarves seemed not to care, the elves seemed to be deep in thought not caring except for one, a female with long silver colored hair who seemed very interested in his answer by staring into his eyes. "There is quite a sizable force in the north... about 1,000 spiders and goblins." Tur said trying to cover up Tulmind's lack of speech. Tulmind found the corage to speak knowing that somone was intested. "I would say that we should have at least 700 strong when we go to meet there force. It would take too long to gather a force to match theirs before they attack." Tulmind searched his memory trying to place a name for the female elfs name. Meledwan he thought, yes that was it. Tulmind felt relived until he saw Meledwan again. She was still staring at him. He shifted uncomforably but found that he could not break her peircing gaze. She shifted her hood to reveal a slight smile. Tulmind's body imeadiatly relaxed. He had done well.

Aearion's face fell, why was he here? He couldn't fight that well, he could heal, yes, but couldn't fight. And that is what they needed, warriors, not some healer's apprentice.
"And what of other renforcments? Who do you plan to send in for other purposes, healing, training, smiths? They are needed in battle as well."

(why does Aearion not like Tulmind? How does he know if he can fight? Does he just like hold a grudge on him or should Tulmind recognize Aearion and not like him too?)Tulmind knew that somone would try to construe his logical answer but he was prepared. "The elves would not likly give them to us for we have run them dry by taking there warriors. We need to look to men." he cringed. "We cannot ask Gondor for help for the distance is to great." Some of the men from Gondor stood up wanting to protest. "but we could ask rohan for help and they could light the becons to get a message to Gondor much faster." he smiled and applauded himself for swerving their anger twoards rohan._________________
