Personality: Eruva's a strong willed woman. To some she appears dark and silent and brooding, but to those who know her well, she's very companionable and friendly. She has a keen sense of observation and is a skilled warrior.
Background: Eruva spent most of her younger days in Minas Tirith. She lived with her family in her father's house, for he was a high ranking soldier and friend of the steward. She learnt the ways of the sword and bow from her older brother, Eruadan. It was on a visit to Osgiliath that she first encountered the horrors of Mordor. And it was here that she had her first real battle. Later on in her life, Eruva became one of the few women to serve her country on the battlefield. She resided with her father and brother in Osgiliath at times of war and visited her mother and sisters in Minas Tirith at other times. After the war of the ring, she remained with Eruadan in Osgiliath for the time being.



Bah, this is all my brain will allow me to do for now. Perhaps, later on, I shall provide a bio for Eruadan as well.

Eruva walked through the streets of Osgiliath, taking in the bustling activities with an observant eye. Everyone was smiling, laughing. The long awaited peace was finally stirring up their hearts and the people were happy. A part of Eruva missed the battles, the adrenaline rush. These days she roamed through the city, for the first time, without her usual weapons and armour.

She shook her head and smiled softly. No, they had paid dearly for this peace, she should rejoice in it. Desiring to be away from the merriment for a while, she headed towards the edge of the city.

Eruva stood still on a boulder and breathed in the fresh air, the wind was cool and comforting. But she wasn't alone. Turning her head, she spotted a familiar face framed by blond hair and she smiled.

Goldleaf stopped in her tracks as she spotted a familiar figure standing on a boulder, taking the cool morning air. It was a woman, and that woman was smiling at her. A grin warmed Goldleaf's own face. "Eruva!" she looked up at her, raising her eyebrows. "What are you doing up there?" She hadn't seen her friend since the battle in Minas Tirith, before Goldleaf had been injured and sent to the houses of healing. Eruva was an old friend, who had known her before Goldleaf fled to the woods of Ithilien.

Eruva's smile widened at her friend and she jumped down from her high place. "Enjoying the morning breeze, is what I'm doing." She looked Goldleaf up and down, and said, "And how are you? Last I saw you, there were good few bruises on you, not to mention all the blood."

Goldleaf laughed. "I'm fine," she replied. "Well, battle does take it's toll, doesn't it? And the battle for the city was at such a large scale." She plucked at one of the blue sleeves of her dress, which was stained with blood, and gave a little grimace. "I'm fine now. But how are you? Are you well?" She took her friend's arm, her young face, which had seen so much suffering, bright and glad, and her blue eyes fixed on Eruva for her reply.

Nodding, Eruva replied, "I am well enough. Though...still adjusting to this new peaceful life. It's all we've worked for and now that we've accomplished it, everything feels a bit strange." She shrugged and then pulled Goldleaf into a hug. "I'm just glad that everything's fine now and we're all alive." She sighed softly and scrunched up her nose and whispered, "But honestly, I'm a bit bored."

Goldleaf hugged Eruva back. "I understand. I feel quite lonely in my house that used to be filled with my family. We've all worked so hard for peace."
She smiled. "This is what so many people worked for, this is what he worked for." 'He', in Goldleaf's vocabularly, could only mean one person. Boromir. "When battle's all we've known for so long, peace can be difficult to adjust to. But lives were lost for this."

Eruva knew that Goldleaf had referred to Boromir and she nodded at what her friend had said. "Then perhaps, we should hold a celebration. For all those we lost. Unless you don't want to of course, I understand. But please oh please, don't let me have to watch you go through another day of silent brooding...all alone...in the dark, thinking about who knows what...or who." She said that last part in a teasing manner of course, she just wanted to spend time with her friend. And perhaps, make her happy again. "And anyways, I'm sure Eruadan is just dying to see you again." She grinned impishly.

"A celebration. Sounds an excellent idea." Goldleaf gave a small smile. She still missed Boromir terribly. And she still loved him. She had fought for peace and for him. This peace, it was everything that he had wanted. He had spent most of his life fighting to restore glory to his country.
She laughed at Eruva's last words. "Erudan. No, I'm sure he's been just fine without my company," she said.

Eruva could tell Goldleaf was still mourning Boromir's death. But what could she say? "You agreed." Pretending to be astonished, she held her heart. "I can't believe it." Then grinning at her friend again, she said, "Ah, perhaps he is indeed. I was only kidding."

Goldleaf smiled. "I'm sure the king must be arranging peace celebrations," he said. "And his wedding to Queen Arwen." She had met him, the new king, in the houses of healing, when he had taken it upon himself to be head healer. "They make a handsome couple, don't they?" And she knew that Aragorn had known Boromir.
"And I know you were joking," she said, "how is he, your brother? Was he injured in the battle?"

"Then perhaps we must head to Minas Tirith to take part in those celebrations. Yes, I have caught a glimpse of King Elessar and his queen. Their beauty makes me feel quite plain." Eruva chuckled quietly and thought about her brother. "Eruadan's quite fine! He was indeed injured, but not to death, thank gods."

"Perhaps. Our new king seems to be quite different from the late steward," Goldleaf said. "He makes a fine match with his queen. I understand she is Elrond of Rivendell's daughter. So," she continued, "you are living here with your brother and father? What do you plan to do? The fashion for these days of peace is marriage, it seems. The new steward and the king married off, all but in one ceremony."

"Yes, she's of the Eldar. It's quite amazing!" said Eruva, her eyes sparkling. "Just my brother right now. Father moved back to Minas Tirith to stay with my mother. Right now, I haven't decided on what I'll do in the future. It's just live today right now." She grinned at Goldleaf's last comment. "It does seem that way, goodness. Alas, that I should find my one true love, but who knows if marriage is for one such as me?" She made a face and laughed.
