Meleth gloomily pulled a few strips of jerky out of her pack. "Not much, that's what we're eating." She shivered and pulled her cloak closer around her. "This place has an aura about it...I don't like it. Do you have any more of that, Luth?"

Haldir looked around at the girls and sighed. "It's a pity that Elegost has gone," he said edgily.

Meleth took it eagerly. "Thank you." She looked over at Haldir. "Why so uncomfortable? It's not as if we're camped in the middle of a completely barren land previously inhabited by malevolent minions of Sauron." She rolled her eyes and sighed.

Meleth heard hooves and ducked out of the tent to see who it was. She grinned and strode towards a tall Dunadan, who smiled at her in return. "Mae Govannen, Beriadan!" said Meleth, gripping his upper arm in the elvish manner of greeting. "I'm glad you could make it!"
"Thank you - I fear my horse is not so glad, however. Have you made any headway?"
Meleth shook her head. "No. None so far. Come sit down."
Beriadan nodded and quickly unsaddled his horse. "In a moment."

Meleth couldn't resist laughing at Haldir. "Aye, Elegost has gone off to get us some food and Haldir was lacking in male company. I'm sure he's quite relieved you're here!"
Beriadan smiled and strode forward. "Mara aure, Haldir," he grinned and put on a woefully hungry look. "Do you have any food for a poor starving Dunadan?"

Haldir smiled. "Lembas all around!" he said happily. He took out a packet of Lembas and tossed some to Beriadan.

Beriadan caught the packet deftly and licked his lips. "Lovely. It's hungry work trying to catch up with you lot."
