Behind them, Seredhel heard the whisper of someone passing through the leaves. She tensed, fear gripping her. She tried to appear casual and at ease, but with limited success.

As they reached the rocks, Seredhel whipped out her sword and wheeled her horse around, her heart thundering so loudly she was sure that someone else was able to hear it.

Seredhel charged towards the oncoming group, her sword at the ready. By the look on the faces of those they were about to attack, they had clearly had the element of surprise.
