Micha started the fire, then went and gathered more wood for the night. The air had a chill in it and it would be nice to have anfire to warm them in the dark.

Once back to camp he rummaged theough his nags for provisions. They were full and fresh, having just set off from Rivendel.

Sygnet went off a little distance and set a small snare, enough to catch a rabbit that would be cooked for dinner. After it was set, she returned to the camp and sat down in the small flattened area in the grass where she was sitting earlier.

By the time Sygnet got back Micha had a healthy fire going with a thick bed of coals started. He had dug out a few of their perishable aupplies to eat and offered her some food.

He then took a seat beside her and pulled out the map. "Well,bthis is the rout i usually take. Look good to you or would you like tontake another rout?"

Sygnet smiled up at him, "It's perfect," she said. She looked about at the trees and a strong gust of wind rifled through them and the boughs shook violently. Her orange hair whipped about her face and she hunkered down slightly in her spot on the grass.

Micha looked around at the trees and the wind. "Looks like we might be in for a stormy night," he said. "I'll spread the tarp out just in case we get rain."

He got up and grabbed his things. He handed Sygnet a blanket to keep the wind off of her while he spread his tarp from the ground to a tree to gove them a slanted roof to keep dry under.

"Hopefully we won't need that, but it's there if we do."

Sygnet graciously took the blanket. She wasn't cold, as elves were well immune to it but she was glad to have the wind off her, "Good idea," she smiled up at him and moved closer to the fire, finding comfort in its warmth.

After he was done setting things up Micha took a seat by the fore and ate a small portion of food. He sighed heavily, relaxing in the cool wind. "I always loved night time..." He said. "It's peaceful and quiet."

He gazed into the fire as his thoughts seemed to drift to andifferent plaxe and time.

Sygnet nodded, "It's like the whole world is asleep and it's just us," she looked over at him and then back to the fire. She wasn't that hungry but would eat later on.

A short moment later Micha shook his head a bit and looked back over to Sygnet with a soft smile. He finished the last of his food and settled down on the ground. "I suspect we had better get a good night's sleep."

She nodded, "That would be good, do you want your blanket?" she asked him, offering it back to him.

"I'm good," Micha assured her. "I've got three."

It was a cool night, but not too chilly. Micha settled down and closed his eyes... drifting off to a shallow sleep that was easily aroused bu the slightest sound.

Since Elves didn't sleep very much, Sygnet only half-way slept. She was mostly just resting her eyes as she settled into her blanket and curled up on the grass.

The next morning Micah woke up just before thenfirst rays of sunnwere poking over the horizon. The fire was dwindling coals by now and the cool morning air was crisp. There was a humidity in the airnthat still threatened rain but the night had been spent dry.

Micha looked over to Sygnet.

Sygnet was awake and stirring the fire where she was cooking a small rabbit over the flames. It was almost done cooking as she looked up at him and smiled, "Good morning, Sunshine. How did you sleep?" she asked him, smiling.

Micha smiled back, slightly dreary-eyed. "Good morning, I slept well." He glanced at the rabbit cooking. "Looks like I over slept," he added with a small chuckle. "How was your night?"

He got up and moved closer to the fire. The warmth felt good. He pulled out the map to glance over the next leg of their journey.

Sygnet smiled, "Decently uneventful. It sprinkled a little near midnight but only a few drops. You slept pretty hard," she remarked. She pulled the rabbit off the spit and used her cooking knife to chop the meat into small cubes.

"What is next for us?" she leaned forward to look at the map.
