Fearan cursed loudly as arrows rained on the group. He mounted quickly onto Wilwarin; it didn't matter that she was untacked, she could take verbal commands as well as physicall. Fearan nudged her gently, all that was needed to send her into a gallope. He drew his bow and shot an arrow, hitting a goblin in the chest. He secured his bow and drew his sword.

Lorwen heard the arrows and quickly spun Aragorn around. She nocked and arrow, pulled back her bow and fired, hitting a goblin in the chest.

Caledon quickly turned his mount around and pulled his bow from his back. He quickly began firing into the woods, aiming for the bright gleams of goblin eyes.

Las mounted Thunder in the Night, then when she heard the wining of arrows, she drew her bow and fired. The arrow hit her target right between the eyes.

Deawen stood calmly she didn't know how to use a bow nor did she have one she stood as quiet as a mouse. Bredol stamped and danced around. not the least worried she stood with a hand on her dagger's hilt ready for a goblin to attack sure enough one poped out of the brush growling. Deawen didn't draw her dagger instead she pushed on Bredol's chest and yelled " UP!" the horse stamped up then bucked at the goblin sending it back into the woods. " nice kick there " Deawen said patting his shoulder. She never had to move from her spot she let the goblins come to her and each one had a similar fate a hoof to the jaw or between his eyes. once or twice Bredol missed and Deawen had to draw her dagger. but she never killed the orc instead the dagger only made a small cut and the orc would advanced and then suddenly drop dead. the Dagger was poisoned.

Las dismounted, and drew her sword. She stabbed the nearest goblin in the heart. Then she plunged her sword behind her, stabbing the goblin that came up behind her.

As suddenly as the attack came, it was gone. The goblins fled, seeing thier comrades fall at the hands of the able Dunedain. As they ran Fearan again took out his bow and began to methodically loose arrows. Despite how he hated to kill fleeing opponents, he knew that it was better than letting them get away.

Deawen placed the dagger back into it's scabbard as soon the goblins fled. Bredol began to stamp and snort in suspence of another attack but none came. Deawen looked for wounds on her war horse, she found a nasty gash on his left flank from armor. Deawen wanted to tend to the wound but the nagging feeling of getting out of the area was stronger she turned to her companions to see what the next move was.

Aramel stood up, wiping the blackened blood off of her sword and glanced at Annwyn, who was already on her horse and making her way out of the campsite. She had a feeling that it wasn't their final attack... for now.
"We should make towards the mountains - it is the quicker route to Gondor and from what I can tell, it's also where the Orcs are headed." Annwyn signaled for them to follow before continuing into the forest.

Fearan agreed. As they laid sloth, the orcs increased the gap. They needed to move or loose thier enemy. The orcs didn't have horses, but they could move at a pace that would weary even the strongest beast. The Dunedain were in for a long chase.
He tacked Wilwarin as quickly as possible and mounted, spurring her into a canter and waiting for the others.

Caledon dismounted and quickly searched the goblin bodies for unbroken arrows. He found several and returned them to his quiver after cleaning them.
Mounting again, he joined Fearan.

Deawen tacked Bredol with little sound. Soon she was in the saddle riding in a smooth gait calmly catching up with the others.

Las wistled for Mithelen and Lathron. As soon as they appeared she took off with the others. She felt a weight on her shoulder. "It's hard to ride with you on my shoulder." she said to the eagle without turning her head. The bird looked at her then jumped off her shoulder and flew over her.

Falcon, blood dripping down his head and left shoulder, followed the others away quickly, mounting Shadow and bringing up the rear of the group.
