"You want to know what happened, Alassea? Well I'll tell you." She took a few steps forward to come closer. "They murdered, slaughtered our company. Our whole camp, Alassea, was destroyed. Elrond was wrong, and you knew it. They didn't stop after you left, if anything they were more fierce because our captain was gone. You didn't leave to save us, you left to save yourself."

" ...How dare you sneak on my ship and presume to tell me my motives for leaving.." Her eyes were narrowed dangerously apon her, her voice low. " No one can save me, not even myself, Enyalie.. and that was most assuredly not my purpose for leaving. I know my fate, and if I had known their's sooner I would have stayed and fought to the death. But I didn't. I didn't. Know. If my father found out about you, Enyalie, he'd kill you first, so that I could watch, then slaughter me. I suppose that's not what you wanted to hear, but -that- was my reason for "abandoning" you. Please don't pin their lives on me, I had no idea he'd send orcs. That's what they were, right? Orcs? I wouldn't doubt it.." She turned and stepped away, crossing her arms. A thin strip of land was now in plain sight ahead, but her mind was not on docking and finding her brother, nay, it was about those warriors. Those brave warriors who were now gone away in ashes..She blinked furiously, but a tear slid down her cheek. She wiped it away quickly, her back turned to Enyalie.
" I'm sorry."

Enyalie turned her face away, biting her lip sadly. "Not as sorry as I am."
Slowly, she stepped away from Alassea, but paused. "He loved you...I'm not sure if you ever knew that. Or would have cared if he did."
With heavy steps, she crossed across the deck of the ship, to place her hands on the balistrade and hang her head sadly.

She snorted, and muttered. " Apparently not as much as he loved you.."
An hour had past, perhaps more, and they were there. She had not spoken a word more to Enyalie, but instead tried to enjoy the awkward silence that took place between them. It did not work out to her wishes. Alassea dropped the anchor, watching it plunge into the light shallow blue waters below, and cast down a rope to a smaller boat below. Grasping the rope with one hand, she swung herself over, and found footing against the side of the ship. " Come on, then." She called out without one hint of emotion, and she slid down.

Enyalie slid down the rope into the little boat silently. She could not bear to look Alassea in the eye, and so she made sure to gaze, however solemnly, only at their destination.

She paddled the boat silently with one oar, her brows furrowed, giving her an odd look of fixed determination..that or an irritable stern feature. " It's best if we just leave things of the past alone, I'd like to avoid as much contention as possible."

"As you wish, not a word of it from me...But it will haunt you, Alassea, for the rest of your life. Regardless where you go, and what you do. And there is nothing you can do about it." Without saying anything more, she grabbed the remaining oar.

Lairiel watched from a distance as Alassea and another Elf that she didn't recognize paddled to shore in a small boat.
At least now I don't have to worry about whether or not she's safe... Lairiel rubbed the back of her neck as she leaned her shoulder against a tree. Alassea didn't look much different. Her hair seemed darker and longer and she seemed tense.
Lairiel blinked and glanced around. She started to walk towards the ship and paused uncertainly. Maybe Alassea wouldn't remember her. Maybe coming here wasn't such a good idea. She would find out soon enough. Taking a deep breath, Lairiel began to make her way toward Alassea.

She tilted her head, pausing to gaze over Alassea's shoulder. "Just a bit of curiousity...Are we expecting a welcoming party?" She nodded at the figure standing on the shore.
She silently slid the dagger on belt loose, just in case..

Alassea's brows furrowed confusedly, and she looked up. It was the second time in the last two days that she was confronted by a person of her past, only she didn't think that one so far back would care to remember her. Her mouth opened slightly, but she closed it, and smiled. " No. We weren't."
She stepped lightly out of the boat, her feet splashing in shallow water as she dragged the boat onto the sand. Wiping her hands, she was just about say 'hello', when a tall dark figure stepped from the lining of trees behind Lairiel, book in hand.
Her countenance changed completely when her gaze was met of that of her brother's. For the first time in years, she open-mouthed smiled, and broke into a run, embracing Valandil. A muffled growl emitted from the Half-Elf's throat, as he was knocked to the ground in a tackle hug. Several light-voiced sentences were said in jovial reunion, but where said into eachother's cloak, unable to reach the two women's ears.
Releasing her brother, she stood, and brushed the sand from her clothes. Taking a deep breath, she grabbed hold of Valandil's sleeve, and pulled him towards the two.
" Lairiel, I assume you've met or at least saw my brother, Valandil. Enyalie, this is my brother. Good. You're acquianted." She stood speachless for a while, her joy still sinking in.
Valandil merely smiled, and offered out a hand to whoever would shake it first.

She nodded, lightly taking his hand before retreating somewhat. She had never seen such a light burning in Alassea's eyes, a happiness that Enyalie had never believed her capable of. She watched them; brother, sister, and a mysterious friend from the far past. She could not see herself in this picture.
She absently slid her dagger back into place, glancing curiously at Valandil.

Lairiel shook Valandil's hand firmly, smiling. "Nice to finally meet you." She turned to Alassea and smiled. "I was beginning to wonder if you would come. I'm surprised you remembered me. It's been so long." There were so many things she wanted to ask Alassea but it could wait.
Turning, Lairiel studied Alassea's friend. She blinked and glanced at Valandil, then Alassea. Her friend hadn't changed much. She still seemed rather mysterious and solemn but Lairiel didn't mind. "How was your trip?" She asked, folding her hands in front of her.

She looked at Lairiel. " 'Twas fine."
Valandil smiled slightly, but seemed to be getting anxious. " I wasn't expecting so many.. but if you'll follow me. And be on your wary..This is the land of the Easterlings." He turned, and led them across the beach and into the woods quietly.

She arched an eyebrow, following after the others. "Just morbid curiousity...But why are you in the land of the Easterlings? Or you?" She inquired, tapping Lairiel lightly on the shoulder.
