Strethin taked up the black stallion and turned him around.

A young gaurd looked around. His chain clinked softly as he walked along. He noticed Sky. He walked over and stroked the dog.He heard a whistle a looked up. A beautiful girl was there. He gazed at her. She was beautiful.
"Hi." He breathed stratenting up.
"I'm Brenta."

"Hi, I'm Laurina." Laur said smiling. She spotted Strethin and said to Brenta, "I've got to go, see you later." She she set of towards Strethin, Sky following behind.

Bretan looked over at Strethin, with a look of hatred. Somthing stirred in his memory.

Strethin smiled at Laur approched.
"Hey, you rea-" He began. He looked over Laur's shoulder and cought Brentan's gaze.
What is he doing here? Strethin thoughts wered around inside his head, trying to find a memory he'd tried to forget.

Brentan took a safer grip on his spear and glarred at Strethin.
So, he's got himself a girl has he, the little son of a- His thoughts were interupted by Strethin looing at him.

"What's wrong?" Laur asked Strethin whose face had become hard and somewhat bitter. She looked around and saw Brenta, staring back with what looked like hatred.

"Nothing." Strethin said snapping back to the present. He smiled, somewhat colder than before, his mind was elsewere. He mounted the huge black stallion and looked down at Laur.

Well we can see to his girl later. But for now my little Menstrethin has my full attention Brentan thought with a grin. He lent his spear against his shoulder and swung himself onto his dark grey mare.

Laur smiled back and they set off. She wasn't sure wha had happened to the others but she knew that they'd join them.
She looked over at Strethin, sitting tall and proud in his saddle, I'll tell him later she thought to herself.

He smiled at Laur and walked the stallion on.

Brentan waited untill they were outside the gates before following them.

Strethin glanced over at Laur.
"Your making a face that says to me "I know something Strethin doesn't but I won't tell him." Am I right?" He said patting the stallion. He heard hoof beats behind him. But when he looked back, no-one was there.

Laur waited a while before repliying, "I have know for quite sometime that I've begun to think of you more than just a friend...I don't know, it's confusing, I don't know whether it's just me or whether...I don't know." Laur looked away, embarrased, Strethin could always tell when something was wrong.

Brentan trotted the mare after them. His arrows and crossbow hung across his back. He stopped behind some good camaflage of trees and dismounted. He unslung his cross bow and hinged an arrow onto the string. He smirked and fired. The bolt snapped into the ground between the two riders. Strethin's stallion shied sideways and reared.

Strethin calmed his stallion down and dismounted. He knelt down and wrenched the cross bow bolt out of the mud.
"Arrow." He hissed. " And I'll give you a bet who it was." He muttered glaring at the horizon

"We should get on, make for the cover of the trees." Laur said, stroking her horse.

Strethin nodded. He grasped the reins and jumped back into the saddle.
"Over there." He said pointing. "The trees, it's probably safer than the open." He said turning the elegant black stallion around.
