Micha nodded to Haldir. "My thanks."

They walked along theough the trees and Micha kept to Sygnet's right hand side and slightly behind her, leading his own horse along as well. He said nothing as they walked, glancing around to take in the sights and sounds. Seeing the inner woods was something many explorers could not even boast of. This was a new experience for him and he wanted to take it in. He was eager to get tonthe city and see the sights.

When Haldir asked of Sygnet's wound Micha caught himself staring over at Sygnet with a slight concerned look. He realized, however, that she would be well as they were now in the care of the elves of Loth Lorien.

They walked for a good amount more until they reached a swift moving river, "Here is where we must cross. Atnalta and Thalion will take your horses to the shallower part of the river and they can cross there. We would go that way but it is quite out of the way and we need to take care of that injury," Haldir explained, stopping on the bank.

He made a short, sharp whistle and an elf descended from a tree across the river. Haldir produced a rope and threw one end of it across the river. The other elf caught it and secured it to a tree.

A second rope was tossed and tied higher then the first. To use as balance. Haldir crossed first. Then beckoned Sygnet, who crossed easily, but slowly, then to Micha.

Micha hesitated when Haldir mentioned their horses crossing further down. He didn't like handing his horse off to strangers but Sygnet knew these elves so he would trust them. Besides, Haldir's point was well taken and Micha certainly was not going to argue with that.

He crossed the rope and on to the other side. He glanced back to the hroses that were being lead further down. "Do let me know when the horses arrive if you would please," he mentioned to Haldir.

He then looked to Sygnet. He wasn't sure why but he felt rather uncomfortable here, surrounded by elves that all knew her and yet he knew nothing of. He shrugged it off and chalked it up to his paranoia from years of traveling, fighting, and running for his life.

Haldir nodded. Two more elves crossed the river and stood with them on the bank. The rest untied the rope that was attached and then ran off back into the woods, taking the rope with them.

Haldir led the way back through the trees, towards Caras Galadhon. They were getting close and Sygnet was getting anxious. Both excited to be home and nervous to see everything she had left behind.

They entered the large gates and Haldir paused, "This is where I leave you. Lady Galadriel will want to speak with you but only after you are healed. Take care, my friend," he smiled, bowed to Sygnet, nodded to Micha and left. One of the elves left with him. The last one spoke brief elvish to Sygnet, who responded in elvish and the elf left through the gates, "She will let us know when the horses have arrived. She has gone to wait in the stables," Sygnet informed Micha of what had happened.

Then, she gently touched her side and looked around, "The healers are this way," she pointed in a direction and moved off that way.

"Thank you," Micha said with a nod, glancing back after the departing elf. "And yes... Lets get you to the healers and get you completely healed once and for all." He concured.

He followed along close beside Sygnet. Whether it was reverance for the elves or a bit of nervousness in being in such a place Micha could not say... But he had been adventuring all over middle earth and never felt intimidated by anything. Now.. He felt quite insecure.

He said nothing and tried not to let it show, however. Getting Sygnet healed was the first priority.

Sygnet was grinning and giving him a personal tour. "See those platforms high in the trees? We call them Flets. That house there? That's where my best friend lived when we were growing up." She didn't stop talking until she reached a ramp by a tall tree. The ramp wrapped around the tree, all the way up.

Sygnet looked back at him, smiled and then started the climb, with renewed vigor, probably from probably from just being there. The whole place radiated hope.

As Sygnet began giving him the tour and explaining all the locations, pointing out things of interest, and so forth, he began to relax. He noticed her grin. It had been a while since he saw her this relaxed and happy. At that he grinned as well, happy to see her spirits up.

He followed her up the ramp, still looking around in wonder at the amazing city. "It must have been quite an experience growing up in a place like this," he said, glancing over at her. "It really is an amazing city."

Sygnet nodded, "It was beautiful. And there were always more places to explore and adventure through every day. All of the other Elven children were interested to play with a half-elf. They didn't believe I could be like them," she laughed, "I proved them wrong," she explained. The journey up the ramp didn't take as long as one might suspect.

Sygnet opened the door to the healers and walked inside. The elvish healer spoke very little English, so Sygnet spoke with her in elvish and translated to Micha, "She is going to go heal me and I have to stay here under observation do a bit so you are free to wander the city if you would like," she explained, smiling kindly.

Micha listened as Sygnet recounted bits of her childhood. He enjoyed hearing her talk about it and liked to hear the happiness in her voice as she spoke.

As they entered the healers house he sat by and waited. He shuffled a bit as Sygnet told him he was free to wander the city. "I think I'll just stay here," he told her. "Or if they have a place for me to rest. I'd rather wait for you to be healed up before wandering about."

The elf quickly responded in elvish and Sygnet nodded and she translated, "She says that you can stay in one of the spare beds. The elves haven't had many injuries," she replied.

The elf led her through a door and gestured to a bed and rummaged through a wardrobe and handed her some white clothes. She put up some blinds to give Sygnet some privacy while she changed. Moments later, she reappeared.

The elf told her to sit back in the bed. The she-elf began to work on the wound. She unwrapped it, made an elvish comment which made Sygnet laugh. She replied in the same tongue.

The Elven healer fixed her up as best she could at that moment and instructed her to rest there and then she left, leaving them both alone.

Micha had taken a seat while the doctor worked on Sygnet's injury. He was a bit anxious to see what the healer would say but he knew Sygnet was in good hands. His eyes tried to close as he leaned his head back against the wall. He forced them open once more and took a deep breath, rubbed his eyes a bit, and stood back up. He glanced over at Sygnet, then out the window and the scenery.

Once the healer left he turned back to Sygnet. "Well... they going to have you bed ridden for a few days?" Micha asked half joking and half hoping that maybe they would insist she stay for a day or two so she could fully recover.

Sygnet nestled into her bed, "I'm supposed to stay here the rest of today and tonight but I am free to go in the morning but I'm not allowed to do anything that could agitate the injury," she recited, smiling slightly.

Suddenly, the door opened and the elf who had been waiting for the horses at the stables ran inside. She spoke some rapid elvish. Sygnet thanked her and then she left, "The horses are back," she told Micha but she was sure he already knew.

Micha nodded to the instructions Sygnet relayed. Not doing anything strenuous, believe it or not, was on the top of his list. When the elf came in he glanced up. The words were exchanged and Sygnet's interpretation confirmed his assumption.

"I should go check on them..." he said, a little aimlessly. "Do you need anything before I go?"

Sygnet smiled, "I want you to rest when you come back. Sleep and rest because this is the safest place to be in all of Middle-Earth," she laughed gently, "Say hello to Vorn for me," she mentioned her horse's name, "Oh, and he likes apples. See if the elves have apples," she finally finished.

Micha smiled and nodded. "I was meaning for you, but I can accommodate those requests also I suspect." He grinned slightly. He walked over to her and took her hand in his. "Rest well. Once I've seen to the horses I'll come back here and lay down in one of the other rooms and get some rest myself." He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead, gently grazing her cheek with his finger. He walked towards the door and stopped before going out. "I'm glad we are here," he told her. "I'm glad we can both finally get a rest in safety."

Micha headed out the door and down the ramp that wrapped around the base of the tree. Lorien was magnificent and aw inspiring, but he wanted to explore it with Sygnet. He didn't wander around seeing the sights or anything. He headed straight to the stables to check on the horses, asking the stable keepers if there were any apples for Vorn.

He found Vorn and Syndar in their stables, well tended to and calm. Syndar a little less calm than Vorn it seemed but Sygnet's horse was probably more use to this sort of atmosphere he assumed. Syndar rarely had been parted from Micha for extended periods of time unless they were at the Bree stables. Syndar knew the stable hands there and Micha trusted them. His mind floated back to Bree... a twinge of longing hit him, a longing for travel. "Already?" he asked himself. He shook his head and sighed at himself. The feeling went away quickly, however, as he stumbled over a small rut in the ground near the entrance to the stables. Nausea and a headache hit him and he nearly decided to just lay down right there and go to sleep. He always got this way when he didn't get enough sleep.

He said his farewell to Syndar, who seemed a little annoyed that he was being left again. At Bree Micha slept in the stable with his horse. He gave the horses their last treats and headed back to the healer's house. When he entered he found a bed close enough to Sygnet he could hear her if she wanted something... he knew she wasn't likely to ask him... she was, after all, still quite capable and liked to do things for herself. Either way, for his own piece of mind he wanted to be within ear shot.

He looked at the bed and patted it a bit. It was soft... he grabbed glanced around. He didn't see anyone so the healer must have been out on other business. He lay down on the floor behind the bed, closed his eyes, and in moments was sound asleep.

Sygnet was already asleep when Micha had returned. The healer had given her a sleeping potion, which she was thankful for. She was curled up in the bed, arms wrapped around one of the sheets and holding it tightly. Ever so slightly, she snored. It was a light and even sound, not too loud or too deep. She would end up sleeping for the next few hours, passed out from exhaustion.
