Micha slept well, only not for mere hours... he slept for a solid ten hours, which was something he could not remember the last time he had done. He also noted that he had no nightmares, which was a rare occurrence. Something about the place just made it easy for him to sleep. Perhaps it was simply knowing they were safe with no care of being ambushed or awakened by an enemy.

For the first time in years... pleasant dreams filled his mind.

Sygnet slept heavily until one of the healers gently aroused her. It was time for more medicine. She accepted the treatment sleepily and almost fell asleep, sitting up in bed while the healer wrapped up her side with bandages. She gave a huge yawn and the Elven healer spoke up, "You are not wholly Elven, are you?" she asked in elvish.

Sygnet shook her head, "Half-elf. Sort of. My mother was half-elf and my father was full elf," she responded.

"Very odd combination. Who was your mother?" she asked.

"Her name was Silivren. She lived a few centuries ago, in the little flet-house on the border of Caras Galadhon," she explained.

"I remember your mother. She was a kind woman. I'm sure you miss her greatly."

"I do," Sygnet responded. This was the most she had talked about her mother. Elves weren't used to death, especially the ones here. They were often insensitive but Sygnet didn't mind. Not this time. She was at peace here, for the first time in centuries.

Micha stirred when the healer came in, his eyes flitted open for just a moment. His mind quickly dragging him back to his slumber. He heard the voices but only mumbling in the back of his mind as he drifted off once more. He tried to stir himself and wake up, but his effort was no good. In his mind he knew he was safe and he slept.

Sygnet's voice broke into his dreams. A voice that started as a stranger and his mind floated to that time that seemed so far back. A random traveler being attacked by a bear... and all that had come to this. He sighed in his sleep and his mind faded once more to black.

The healer gave her a sleeping potion which she downed in a heartbeat. She settled back into bed and looked over at Micha. Her eyes closed slowly and she fell asleep, content and at peace.

By the time Micha finally woke he felt as though he had slept a lifetime. He was still drowsy and felt a little out of sorts but he certainly felt more rested than he had in a long time. He sat up and looked around the room. It took him a few seconds to remember where he was. He forced himself up to his feet and looked over to see if Sugnet was awake.

Sygnet was sprawled on her bed. If she hadn't been breathing, it would have looked like she was dead. Her mouth was having open and her hair was everywhere. It was good for her to be able to rest her human side every once and a while. She stirred slightly when Micha stood up, "I knocked over the table," she mumbled. There wasn't a knocked over table in sight.

Micha walked over towards Sygnet, hearing her words. "A table?" He wondered aloud, looking around the room. He saw nothing out of place. "Sygnet?" He called her name, wondering if she was even awake. She must have been dreaming or something. He didn't touch her... He didn't think he had ever seen her sleep before so he wasn't about to wake her. He didn't realize the healer had given her the potion, he just assumed she must have been more weary than she was letting on.

Sygnet let out a huge snort and opened her dark blue eyes. She looked around the room with just her eyes, not moving her head, "Was I dead?" she asked, eyes falling on him. She asked this in all seriousness, one eyebrow raised quizzically.

"Dead?" Micah asked, moving over beaide her. "I... Think you were just sleeping." He didn't know if it was a humorous matter of her simply not knowing wjat it was like to sleep or a more serious matter dealing with a dream. "How do you feel?"

Sygnet looked at him, pushing her hair out of her face, "Don't look so serious," then she began to laugh. It was a crazy, hysterical laugh that echoed through the room, "You-you," she gasped then continued to laugh.

Micha grinned, a bit of a narrow-eyed look at first. He shook his head lightly and chuckled. "I take it you are feeling quite well, then?" He laughed a little more, Sygnet's laugh spuring him onwards. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "I thought maybe you had been dreaming..." He admited. "I wasn't sure what to think."

Sygnet laughed and looked at him, hair still a mess, "You're cute when you worry. Your eyebrows do the thing. The creasing thing? Well, you're cute without it," she giggled. She was definitely on pain medicine, which was a good thing because she had been in pain for days. Mostly dull pain but pain was pain. She almost felt drunk and happy-go-lucky.

Micha smiled, chuckling again. "Well..." He said gazing at her messy hair and elated look. "Your gorgeous. With and without your messy hair and teasing laughter." He reached over and brushed a bit of hair out of her face, still smiling widely. "It's good to see you in such chearful spirits."

Sygnet grinned and giggled, "I'm glad you slept," she reached out and patted him on the face, "I never thought I'd be glad a bear attacked me," she rubbed his face with her hand and then fell asleep again, as fast as it took to blow out a candle.

Micha grinned and shook his head as she fell back to sleep. He leaned down, kissed her on the forehead and walked back over to the window on the other side of the room. There was a simple wooden chair beneath the window which the tree-filtered sunlight shone dimly through.

Micha took a seat in the chair and leaned his head back against the wall. He enjoyed a little bit of sun on his face as he sat there and dozed off. He woke up several times and small noises and movement outside, then he would doze off once more.

Sygnet awoke a few hours later, having slept off the sleeping potion. She sat up in bed and stretched and yawned. It felt good to be home. To relax and sleep--really sleep--for the first time in decades. And Micha was there with her. She wasn't alone. She wasn't visiting Lothlorien to grieve. She was visiting with her love. She smiled to herself and laughed ever so slightly. She never thought she would love another the way she had loved her dead husband.
