Arinae dismounted the elf's horse in a swift leap, landing in a crouch on the ground, making her way the the hill's high point when she heard voices, and the very distinct voice of an elf. She peered over and noticed it was just a small group, made smaller by the previous attacks, but Arinae was still unsure of her abilities to take them down. Seeing Tin bound and on the ground, a fury of green fire flashed in her eyes. "Foolish, prideful, heedless...make that brainless... elf!" She muttered to herself as she back down the hill to keep out of view. "Why the heck am I risking my life for.... her... *curse* I should just turn around and let them teach her a lesson.... no... that would be wrong.... as a leader I am responsible for all actions...." she debated with herself.
Finally Arinae took her bow from her back, and inched her way to view them again. She remained flat on the ground, the distance moderate. Remembering a trick an elf had taught her, Arinae nocked two arrows on her string and held her bow horizontal, pulled back, took aim, and released both arrows. The two arrows flew true to their mark and felled two men. Backing down again, she sprinted silently to another location behind a rock and proceeded in repeating the process, thoroughly confusing the men remaining.

Tindomerel watched as two men fell, arrows in them. She quickly looked around. She saw a small bit of moment and a flash of long red hair.
Arinae.
She looked away from where she had last seen Arinae, and tripped a man near her. She rubbed her wrists on the ground. Her wrists were getting burns from the rope. Finally, she freed herself, flicking off the ropes, using her hands to crawl over to her sword.
Tindomerel reached for it, touching the sheath. Then one of the men grabbed her, pulling her away. She turned to see he had a sword and a very venomous look in his eyes. "They'll never save you," he hissed, "You'll be dead before they can reach you."
He was about to stab her in the stomach, but she moved out of the way, kicking at the man with her tied legs; with one, heavy blow. His sword barely broke the skin on her left side, Tindomerel whincing in pain.
Tindomerel used his sword to quickly cut the ropes around her ankles. She grabbed her sword, drawing it swiftly. She couldn't make a run for it, because of her leg, so she stood there, hacking down as many men as she could.

Arinae had soon used all of her arrows, only missing very few times. She had brought down over half the men and orcs, moving each time she shot, giving the enemy the impression that they had been surrounded. Returning the bow to her back, she whistled for Lebethron, and leapt upon the horse. Arinae urged the steed to a full gallop and scattered the remaining men, slowing just enough for her to bend down and grab the elf. She nearly fell with the effort, but managed to seat Tin behind her and turn around again, heading for Edoras. It was nearing noon, and as Arinae glanced behind them, she could see a distant cloud like shadow creeping along the ground. "Ai! They already are approaching!" Crouching lower, she urged the elven horse to a higher speed, whispering in elvish encouragingly.

Tindomerel shifted on Lebethron, sword and sheath still in her hands. "Nice to see you, Arinae," said Tindomerel, a small smile coming across her face.
When Tindomerel saw the army, she held her breath. "This is not good," she whispered, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"You can go faster, Lebethron," she whispered in Elvish.
Lebethron whinnied loudly and started toward Edoras in a slightly faster pace. Tindomerel put her sword sheath back on her belt, still holding her sword in hand, in case she needed it.

Rhayader was on a lookout tower which was part of the protecting wall of Edoras. Word had reached him of the hoast approaching and he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the army heading their way. The horizon had, what looked like, a wide black shadow approaching. Some men joined his gaze and talked of killing the orcs in vengence.
Rhayader was more concerned about whether they would last the night.
The wolf joined him on the tower on his left side, his arm in a sling. He smiled and turned to pet the wolf when he saw a lone horse with two riders galloping toward Edoras. He took a step closer to the fence and saw it was Arinae and Tindomerel.
"Open the gate! Open the gate! Arinae approaches!"

Jax watched from the wall as Arinae came in with LadyTin behind her.
By now his mind was realy to preocupied to care.
The images of death, trouble, and the faces of his victoms flashed in his mind. A sick realization hit him as he knew that it was all about to happen all over again. But there was no avoiding it this time, it was either him or them.

Arinae only muttered a reply to the elf as she rode through the gates and pulled Lebethron to a halt. She leapt off the horse and took off on foot to the lookout tower, looking towards the enemy. She froze in place, her jaw clenched, as she saw them in the far plains. They'd reach them shortly before the sun would sink. "Night battle.... the choosing of the men for the best ability of the orc and urak, no doubt..." Arinae muttered under her breath.
"Thren, lead the first assembled group just east of the city, within the hills, hidden from view. Jax, I need you to lead the second assembled group to the west of the city, more southward, though, to avoid being seen as the enemy approaches. The hills should hide the men from view for now.... When our main defence engages in battle, the two side defences will approach in unison, hopefully surprising and catching the enemy off guard. Is that understood and agreed upon?" Arinae kept her eyes focused on the slowly approaching enemy.
"If my advisers" she continued, nodding towards Rhayader, Jax, and even Tin, "have any other suggestions, feel free to mention, for the lives of all in Edoras depend on our decisions this very moment..." Indeed she felt the burden heavily, and it was almost too much for her to bear but she kept her expression steeled.

Rhayader nodded and looked back to the massing force.
"Many are sure to perish against such numbers. I request that I be on the battlements when they arrive. I can still hold a sword well in my right hand."

"No objections." Jax said coldly as he glared out at the approching army.
Jax motioned to the men to follow him as he set off to carry out his orders.
He toook the men to the west side, staying behind the hills and keeping out of site. A slight arched patern took them to the ideal position to ambush the enemy.
"Now we wait..." Jax said to himself. "Death will come. The ground stained with blood... " Jax couldn't get the images of his old battles out of his mind.
"Let it come." he said angrily to himself.
"Exscuse me Sir?" his aid asked in confusion. "Nothing..." Jax replied softly.

Tindomerel followed Arinae in a limp, because of her bad leg. "If Rhayader goes out, then so do I," she said, extremly firmly, after listening to everything Arinae had said, "And to tell you the truth, I'm going to have to keep myself far away from the fire weapons, if I'm going to still be focused."
Tindomerel shivered at the thought of having to be near one of them. Nimloth saw her and had trotted over to her side, looking up at her, happily. "Good to see you, too, girl," said Tindomerel, patting the wolf's head.

"Rhayader requested to stay in the battlements, not go out on the battlefront," Arinae replied, somewhat emotionless to the elf. "I shall grant both of your requests... " She again looked towards the approaching enemy, going silent as she listened to the men preparing for the main defence.

Tindomerel thanked Arinae, following Rhayader back to the healing house, remembering that she had left her travel clothes there and knowing she could not fight in the dress she was wearing.
"Wait for me!" she called, limping along after Rhayader.
She soon catch up with him. "I'm going to have to make sure you don't get into anymore trouble," she said, smiling at him, trying to put a bit of humor in the moment.

Arinae sighed and headed towards her horse. She would have to have the men ready and arranged outside the gates, all along the wall, as the enemy would approach. It would be a long hard battle, and if the enemy were to wait in the distance, it would make it even harder.

Rhayader glanced at her and shook his head.
"I don't need your protection, I will be just fine."
He strode forward, pride taking him.
