Midira went with Elegost to explore. she seemed quite and observant but she would not speak her fears.

Meleth nodded and set about expertly assembling a camp. After the briefest of hesitations, she decided against a fire, knowing that the group possessed ample supplies of lembas in the meantime.

Shading her eyes against the setting sun, Meleth stepped outside to scan the horizon. She felt restless and uneasy, but as there seemed to be no reason, she spent a second more looking carefully around and then stepped back inside.

Vasa saw no signs of anything dangerous or threatening and she found a small brook with icy cold water in. She drank from the brook before going back up to the camp. She went to Elegost to tell him of what she saw.
"I found nothing to be suspicious of but we should always have one of us on guard, Gobblins are more wakeful once dusk has passed." She said to him, her voice quiet.

Meleth tossed Elegost a wafer of lembas. "Eat. And remember to wake Vasa," she added sharply. "You need sleep too."

Vasa stood, baffled, she said that she would take the first watch. She went and wandered off to the left, looking for something that would take her mind off things.

Caunaian likewise was feeling to urge to wander about. This time he wandered into the caves, carrying a torch as he did. He wasn't sure but he swore he could hear low grunts of something. Something big. He went to take a look when he saw a troll sitting in a part of the cave. Caunaian was about to walk back when the troll began to sniff and sensed Caunaian's presence. It gave a loud bellow, found a rock, and threw it at Caunaian. He was immensely shocked by the bellow and hardly had time to duck. He ran for it just the troll got to its feet and chased him. Caunaian came to the camp, gasping for air, while saying, "We have a cave-troll."

Vasa was only seconds away from the camp and sh hurried back when she heard Caunaian's talk of trolls.
"I'm guessing it's fully grown?" Vasa asked him and then remembering whe she was there added, "Are you hurt?"

"I don't think so," Caunaian responded. "But I think the troll is still chasing me." His words were confirmed by another roar from the troll.

I was cured all right.

Meleth sprang to her feet and scooped up her belongings. She cursed in Sindarin under her breath. "And night's just setting in. Well, we can't stay here!" she added sharply. "Let's go!'

The group quickly packed away and Vasa looked up to see Elegost still standing in the same place.
"To where do we flee Elegost?" She asked, hoping that her knew.

Vasa gave a fleeting smile and took out her own bow before crouching down by some bushes to the left. She held her bow ready, waiting for the call or for someone to make the first move. As always.

Vasa aimed the troll, a precision shot went it right in the soft spot and it threw it's head back in pain. She fired another some seconds later, just to be sure.

Midira watched as the troll came by she made no move as to help in the fight she slinked out of the cave out into the cold night ar.

Meleth's lips tightened as she swiftly finished the roll and it fell, grunting, onto its knees, not quite dead. She whirled angrily. "You've seen an angry cave troll before," she snapped at Elegost. "We could have been killed! When there is an option to flee rather than endanger ourselves, I'd prefer to use it!"

"Hannon le." Vasa said quietly, taking her arrows from Elegost's hand. She avoided eye contact as she didn't really want to venture in to the caves although she would if asked, she wouldn't let them down.

"I never said we couldn't," replied Meleth, slightly defensively. "But we could have been hurt and you know it's safer to let well enough alone." She hoisted her small pack and murmured, "we're lucky it was a small one, too." Then she turned to Elegost. "If we're going to explore, could it please wait until we've all had some decent rest?"
