Smeag popped her head out from behind a tree. She had been spying on a group of people for quite some time now, maybe not quite. With whatever amount of time it truly was, Smeag decided she needed to change her tactic and fast. Her stomach depended on it.

Not making herself too horribly noticable, Smeag dashed from tree to tree, watching the group as it moved along and waiting for the of the elves to notice another presence in the forest.

"There's the camp."said Finrod.They were walking the whole morning.
"Finally"said Elen.
"That wasn't so near as it seemed"mumbled Aerlinn and Ris."Water!We need water!"
"And some food I think"said Fingon."Make yourself comfortable.I'm coming in a minute"
Suddenly Elen and Misery heard something in the trees.
"Did you hear it?"
"Yes!What's this?"
"I don't know."said Elen
Lord Finrod came faster then they thought.Come and join us.We are having dinner now"
When the friends heard the word "dinner" they forgot everything else and ran immediatky to the table.'Cuz they were very hungry!

Snickering to herself, Smeag licked her lips and traveled onward. Food was ahead, and her stomach was surely not going to wait any longer for her 6th meal of the day. Brazing past bushes, Smeag did not appear to care about the noise she was making as her feet rustled through the fallen leaves and sticks.

Coming upon the dinner setup, Smeag stood behind a tree pondering of how she could possibly get to the food. Soon, however, her short attention span, curiousity, and plan old ignorance took over the more intelligent thought of just sneaking in, Smeag ran right out into the open for all of the world to see as a runner running for the prize and as a hobbit running for her food.

"An Orc scout!"said Finrod."Catch it!"

Smeag had practically forgotten that she was surrounded by people. In her shock, Smeag turned to being cute and innnocent as the only thing that could save her now. "What," she asked, "can I get away with being?"

"If I was an orc-thingy that you are saying, I would smell worse," Smeag announced to everyone as she took another bite and raised her arm in order to smell it and make sure she wasn't an Orc.

Sighing, and reassured that she wasn't an orc, Smeag turned to everyone and said, "Well. I am short. So that would narrow it down to dwarf and hobbit. Then, I do not have a beard, so that would narrow it down to hobbit." Smeag smiled through the victory of being able to accomplish yet another short and logical statement in her life, from them being few, and soon awarded herself by picking up a piece of bread and starting to eat it.

"A Halfling my lord.One of it's kind in our Age I think.But we must not bother this creature so.It's not an Orc spy that's for sure"Elen understood that the creature is one of her friends."I suggest to take her with us!"
Everybody seemed surprised.Finrod wasn't very pleased of the idea
"Tell them your name,Smeag"whispered Elen"Or we both are dead."

Early morning they continued their journey to Nargothrond.
"We must send scouts ahead"said Finrod."I'm sure that the Orcs saw our campfire.We must be careful."
