Ruth Ann thought for a moment. This situation seems a bit more than just the king's son leaving and not coming back, but she was still fearful of her identity and race.
It took a few moments for Ruth Ann to overcome her fear (which was a bit odd for her to acquire in the first place from her being so quick to jump into challenging and potentially life-threatening situations), but, once she did, Ruth Ann calmly asked, "Is there anything I may do to help? I know the lands of Middle Earth, and I am quite good with a blade."

Kanno looked at the newcomer who asked for the one in command, then back to the hobbit.
"Our commander is not hear as of yet," he said casually.
"But when she is I will let you know."
He turned to the hobbit now. "And you may ask your question then, it is not for me to give permissions but I am sure there would be no problem with you joining us."

Kit got his weapons, closely followed by his giggling sisters, who also retrieved their weapons and went outside again, only to find their group growing larger. Rhia and Kira had finally stopped laughing and now stood beside him, one on each side, silent.
"What's this all about?" Kira whispered to Kit. "Something about Legolas," her brother whispered back,"I think he's went on an adventure and he's not back yet so...the king might send a group of people off to find him." "Oh." Kira said quietly,"Okay, thank you."

Kanno looked around at the group assembling. He had to agree with the hobbit... it seemed there was more to this than Legolas simply delaying to come home from one of his adventures.
the group was growing larger by the minute and as Kanno looked around the egsamin those that would accompany him he recalled what he had learned of them earlier.
They were all capable fighters and outstanding survivors. Why egsactily was such expertiese needed in this case? It made his blood run cold, but fired up his heart at the same time.
"Perhaps now I may die with honor..." he thought silently.

Anira smiled and inclined her head as Kit returned her greeting, yet remained silent throughout most of the discussion. A growing concern gnawed in the back of her mind, she could sense that was more to this than the disappearance of the prince. But what is it? she wondered to herself.

She leaned casually on her cane, shifting weight off of her injured leg, "Silly, lad. Young Thrandilion should have informed someone of his whereabouts or soon to be whereabouts. Has the rest of his company returned from Rivendell? They will surely know where the Prince is." Maethoriel scratched the back of her head with a gloved hand, already impatient for more information. She sighed and dug out her knife to keep her hands busy. She twirled it through her fingers and across her palm with practiced ease.

(I believe someone should just be able to come forward and say that the king has ordered us to leave.)
Ruth Ann did not full enjoy getting such incomplete answers. Sighing, she would not follow through with what was suggested to her, but, rather, she would merely remain in a place of constancy in the armory to solely have a presence and acquire information more suttlely and minimally.

(ok, sounds good to me.)
It wasn't long before all the group had got their equipment and were prepaired to leave.
The king gave a quick speach and soon Kanno found himself prepairing to hit the trail in search of Legolas.

(I'll help.)
Ruth Ann meerly sat in the corner while everyone hustled this way and that way to gather up all needed equipment for the road ahead. She was not too sure why she had even stopped by Mirkwood, now that she thought about it. She knew of such stories beyond this land, and those did seem to be much more appealing to her spirit than any lost prince. However, in the end, Ruth Ann understood that any bit of whining and bickering would not move her from her situation to another.
Thus, Ruth Ann stood and dusted herself off only to move forward out of the door. She had no need to be there. This was the elven prince, and was not even remotely related to a hobbit in the least. In this, Ruth Ann had decided that the most proper, efficient, and responsible thing to do would be to leave and let the elves deal with their problem while she dealt with hers.
This concept was simple enough in her mind as she strolled down the path to leave Mirkwood and head further off into Middle Earth while her mind contemplated where the best course would be. Although, from hearing the strong and diligent voice of the king swoosh by her ear, Ruth Ann halted her footsteps and turned around to see the king instructing and encouraging the group of travelers in what lay ahead of them. Each one had at least one bag; some had two, and, a select few, from Ruth Ann's sight had four or five.
In took a good while before the king was finished with all of his instructions, and Ruth Ann remained motionless the whole time for something in this matter was intriguing to her little mind. Once the king had finished, each person in the group turned and started to head down the path to head towards the place the king had instructed.
Ruth Ann scurried onward once she saw the small multitude of people head her way; she was only stopped when she managed to run into a horse that an elf was riding and fall backwards onto the ground.

Kit, Kira and Rhea listened silently as the King told them his instructions. Rhea sighed, as the King left them. She was unusually tense and had a good reason to, she was extremely nervous to go on this trip. "Nervous?" Kit whispered to Rhea. "Yeah." She replied,"I want to get this over with."

The woman glanced back and shook her head seeing the hobbit sprawled on her back. She limped forward, but managed to maintain a straight posture, the small effort made it apparent that she was in fact a very proud woman despite her lack of upkeep. She looked down at the hobbit with a mixture of amusement and concern, "You alright, little lass? Seems you took a hard fall. I should be careful if I were you, elves are not entirely accustomed to watching out for the smallest of races." She gave a rawkish grin and held out a gloved hand to give Ruth Ann a bit of help up.

Kano followed the group silently, checking his equipmetn a second time to be sure he was leaving nothing behind.
The trip seemed staight forwrad enough... but he had learned to never trust the seemingly obvious assumptions.

Anira mounted her steed as soon as the instructions were given. Riding with the group in silence she turned her attention to the mission ahead. She knew that although on the surface the mission seemed simple enough-things were rarely as they seemed to be.

Kit, Rhea and Kira stuck together as soon as the rest of the group started moving. Rhea was still thinking, about Legolas. Of course, she wasn't the only one worried about him, but Rhea especially liked to worry.

"Yes, I am fine," Ruth Ann accordingly responded to the lady, "It is not quite as hard as when you fall out of a tree, though."
"But, if I may ask, why do you have such the fortune of having a horse while much of the others do not?"
