Micha finished up and joined Sygnet. He grabbed a bowl and a fancy spoon. He sat down. "Thank you," he said, refering to her fixing the meal. He ate his food, mind darting here and there on many different subjects. "It's very good," he complimented. "It's nice to get something more than traveling rations."

Sygnet laughed and heartily agreed, "It will be a lovely change," she grinned and took another bite, "So, Micha," she began, "What did you do before your...adventure to the Misty Mountains," she asked, genuinely curious about what he did before she had met him. She knew he was a traveler and took work where he could but there had to be more than that.

(Had to re-write this 3 times. *sighs* kept deleting on me for some reason...)

Micha sighed and his mind seemed to stray into the past. It wasn't a sad sigh, though... More of a sigh of nostalgia and accomplishment. "I traveled... Everywhere," he told her. "Usually I hunted the enemy. Inwould collect all the weapons and supplies after I wiped out all the orcs and goblins. Then sell it in the nearest town for my income."

He paused again for a moment before continuing. "I remember one time near Tinnundir... There is an island to the north..."
He furrowed his brow and threw a hand in the air. "I can't remember the name but they were having a problem with these fire spitting lizards. Tbeir hide was so tough it could withstand a spear thrown by even the strongest warrior. You had to fight them hand to hand with a large sword or axe. Their hide brought top dollar. The rangers there used them in armour making I believe. I made so much off that adventure that I traveled to Ered Luin to see the elves over there. I stayed in Celondim for several months, renting a room there and hunting goblins down near some vineyards."

He took a deep breath and smiled. "What about yourself?"

Sygnet nodded while listening, "Well, after leaving home after my Mother died, I didn't really know what to do with myself but I showed great aptitude in thievery. I stole a lot of gold and jewelry to pawn off because no one suspects an elf with the whole 'Mystic Magic' air about us," she laughed.

"One day, I was having a drink in Rohan, when this man approached me. He asked me a question about the local cities and I pointed him to Edoras. He was gone a few hours before I realized my coin purse was gone! It had all of my savings and it had just vanished. I figured it was this man and I spent the next few weeks tracking him down until I ended up rescuing him from a couple of bandits. And that's how I met my first husband," she grinned, "We moved from Rohan to Forochel and that's where we stayed until...you know," she stayed silent for a moment to collect herself then went on.

"I was in Bree, robbing this old rich man. I had seen him spitting on a few of the beggar children and I got so angry and careless. Well, a guard saw me steal his purse and I was arrested. Spent a few weeks in the Jail near Combe," she sighed, "But they let me out and I all but abandoned that life. I turned to mercenary work instead. A few bounties for the guards in a few of the regions and I made a living before retiring to Edhellion a few centuries ago," she took a deep breath.

"I lived there until about a year ago, when I decided that I had enough of a quiet life. My father wrote to me, saying he missed me and wanted me to visit him, and that's when I met you," she smiled lovingly over as him.

Micha listened intently. He seemed a little uncomfortable when she spoke of her first husband, but he tried not to let it show. He smiled back as she finished up and looked over to him.

"Well, it's my good fortune that your father wrote you when he did."

"The best fortune I've had in a long time," she smiled and set her empty bowl down on the table beside the couch and then looked over at him, smiling softly and just looking into his eyes with her own dark blue.

Micha gazed into her eyes for a long while, a soft smile on his face. "You have gorgeous eyes," he said softly, a slightly embarrassed smile.

Sygnet's eyes dropped slightly as a faint rosy color filled her cheeks but she looked back up to him and smiled, "I love you," she took his hand in her own and sighed contentedly.

"I love you too," he replied a soft and relaxed tone to his voice. He leaned his head against hers. For a long while he just sat there enjoying the peacefulness. Then he sighed and squeezed her hand gently. "I better go get the things for our meal at the flet I suppose."

Sygnet nodded slowly, "I will wait for you here," her voiced was low and comforting. She kissed him slowly then broke away from him and sighed, "I believe I shall retire to bed, goodnight, my love," she kissed him again, this time quicker and then stood up and moved into the bedroom that was hers.

Micha smiled. "I'll see you in the morning, then." He returned the kiss and gave her a hug before she left to her room. He watched her fo, still in wonderment at times how everything had played out.

He hurried out and gathered the things he needed, then hurried back to the flet house. He prepared a few things before bed to let them soak or sot together. It helped the flavors disperse theough the food.

Finally he went into his room and lay down on the floor. He looked at the bed. "One of these days... Just not today." He told himself. He remembered beds being very comfortable... Bit the last few times he had slept onnone he could hardly sleep and woke up aching and soar.

Before long he was fast asleep kn the floor, and comfortably so.

Sygnet awoke the next morning, bright and early. She checked her wound to change the bandage and found it was just a few faded red lines. It would definitely scar but she was healing at last. She bathed herself and then wrapped up her side, drank her last potion and then left her room. As quietly as possible, she began to make breakfast of eggs and pancakes.

(I wasn't sure if pancakes were LotR friendly or not!)

Sometime shortly after Sygnet was up and around Micha was woke from his light sleep. He sat up and grabbed his things to get ready for the day. After a short time he headed out to the living room and kitchen areas. "Elven flooring is surprisingly comfortable," he teased, seeing Sygnet in the kitchen.

He walked over to her, placed a hand on her shoulder and kissed her on the head. "Good morning," he said with a smile.

Sygnet smiled at him, "Would a hammock be more comfortable?" she asked him curiously. She knew he slept on the floor and arguing wouldn't prove useful. So she would attempt to ween him into a bed bit by bit. A hammock seemed like a good start.

"It might, yeah," he admitted. "I just wake up really achy and soar when I sleep on something too soft." He looked at her. "Did you aleep then, or just rest? How is you side?"

Sygnet finished cooking breakfast as served it up on plates, "I just rested but longer than usual and my side is a lot better. Almost healed, in fact. Just a few more days, I think," she told him, once again moving to the couch to eat breakfast. She hadn't eaten this much in a long time and she was feeling very satisfied.
