"Mára aurë," Meleth responded automatically, and then seemed to realize someone had talked to her. She gave Roina a half-smile. "I apologize - I was...thinking about something else." She paused for a moment and her eyes wandered on the dance floor with something like longing. She looked back. "I'm Meleth."

"I think it would be nice to dance... but it seems that all the elf men are allready on the dance floor." she said...

Meleth gave a grin. "I believe I had caught a glimpse," she said, "but I fear I was set upon by what seemed Mirkwood's entire population of young male elves and had not time to inquire further - though I do believe we share an acquiantance? Aradan and Elwen are good friends of mine."

"I've only just met them, though you do share an acquaintance with Thalion, my brother. He has known them for years." Callon said, turning his head as Thalion walked over.

"Did I just hear my name mentioned?" he asked Callon pointedly, and recieved a mute nod in response.

Meleth's eyes lit in recognition. "I can hardly say I know him - though I thank you, my lord, for your grace earlier. I fear I was clumsy." She smiled. "Very pleased to meet you a second time."

Thalion smiled benignly. "I have dealt with maidens far..'clumsier' than you already this evening, m'lady. And likewise, I am pleased to see you again."

Just then, the music was struck up, and true enough, it was a slow song, almost haunting. "Well, here we go.." Aradan muttered, before he took Turwaithiel's hands, silently thankful he had had to learn all these dances before this evening.

Tur sighed heavily and prayed, for she was an terrible dancer, but this song was the one she mastered long ago. She took Aradan's hands and began dancing.

Aradan's movements were very smooth, nearly perfected, though truth be known, he was relying completely on memory to actually remember what move to make next. That wasn't evident to anyone watching, however.

That particular dance seemed to last ages, since the song itself was very long, and when it finally ended, Aradan breathed a quiet sigh of relief. "That took a lot longer than I remembered..but I must admit, you danced wonderfully."

Roina smiled at the unfamiliar elves. Traveling most her life, and living mostly in Lothlorien when she wasn't traveling, she didn't know maney elves in Mirkwood.
"I am Roina," she introduced herself again, and glanced over at her parents who were too busy dancing to see her...
