(Same here. We just have to both keep to what our characters would do because this is a delicate situation with both of our characters potentially really liking Frodo.)

Ruth Ann had not grown up entirely yet, meaning she has not reached the age of enlightenment. Therefore, she tended to act upon pure emotion at times that would not exactly be the best for the situation.

Still angry, Ruth Ann took the physcological effect on Lilith, "If you want to do a battle of wits and whose life is worse than whose, I'll join in an instant, but just know, I didn't change your life. I had nothing to do with it. I keep to myself in the Shire. You are the first new hobbit I have truly met in over 5 years." Ruth Ann paused, fearing she had gone off track and lost some of her authority in the conversation, "You can follow. You can stay behind, but don't start blaming me for the new upcoming problems in your life. Mine has not been a barrel of roses either."

At that point, Lilith decided just to shut up. She know she was emotionally unstable in that moment, and she didn't wanted to appear as fragile, even if she was. But she didn't want to appear as the cold one, as Ruth Ann was trying to do. She passed a hand through her hair and tried to calm herself down, just giving Ruth Ann a look that meant "When you go, I'll follow".

Ruth Ann's primary goal was to calm herself down and get back to the point of the trip once she noticed Lilith stopping the arguement. For this, she desperately wanted to leave Lilith for a moment and wallow in thought, but not ditch her. Seeing that both of these things would not be seen seperately, Ruth Ann said in the calmest voice she could find, "We need to go know. He is nearly a day ahead." With that, Ruth Ann turned around and started to walk outside of the Shire, not realizing how much harder it would be for Lilith.

At Ruth Ann words, Lilith stood up, then watched with some sort of terror in her eyes the border that separated the Shire from the rest of the Middle-Earth, and Ruth Ann passing it as she didn't care. And she didn't care at all, Lilith realized, standing there without the courage of moving further.
But after their sort of fight, Lilith didn't have the strenght to start argueing again with Ruth Ann. Passing that border meant a lot for Lilith, meant that her life was changed forever and that there was no way back, but she couldn't give up now.
Silently crying, she passed the border trying not to think and reached Ruth Ann that was already walking away.

(Ha Ha.. Ruth Ann is going to get so irritated of Lilith along the way. )

They both traveled very harshly, only stopping for when Ruth Ann believed she needed to find a change in path or that one time when Lilith gained the courage to tell Ruth Ann she needed a breather and most people don't travel as fast as Ruth Ann does.

At this stop, Ruth Ann's eyes opened wide in fright and jaw dropped as Lilith sat off to the side. She shook her head, staring at the ground with herself squatting and her finger prodding the soil of the dirt road. The hoofmarks were evident enough, and a little less than a day old, but the footprints were that to behold. She had seen those footprints once before, and she had never wished to see them again. Having so done her displeased behavior, Ruth Ann popped up, grabbed her bag, and instructed Lilith immediately that they had to leave.

"What's happening?" Lilith asked, so tired that standing up was a terrible effort for her "Did you find something?". It wasn't the first time that Ruth Ann found something that made them change path rapidly, but this time was different, this time Ruth Ann looked...almost scared.

Ruth Ann stopped for a moment and turned around to stare at Lilith's ignorance. Knowing delaying was not in the best interest of either of them (even if Lilith did not know it), Ruth Ann simply shook her head and ran off, wishing Lilith to follow, and convinced herself now was not the time to explain the sheer magnitude of the situation to Lilith.

Lilith stood there for a few seconds. Ruth Ann was running away? There was something weird, but Lilith decided to run first, and then to try to understand.
When Ruth Ann finally stopped, Lilith, trying to catch her breath, asked "Are you ever going to tell me why we had to run away?"

Ruth Ann, when she stopped, leaned up against a tree. She had not stopped for herself, but for Lilith and to make sure they were not anywhere around.

Turning around to gaze at Lilith upon hearing her question, Ruth Ann bit her lip, ran her eyes around the grounds once more, and proceeded to whispher to Lilith while kneeling upon the earth near her, "Black riders."

Ruth Ann stood back up and wiped herself off. As soon as she realized Lilith did not fully understand what she was saying, Ruth Ann told her in a slightly louder voice than a whispher, "They are bad. Let us leave it at that, and we cannot stay dormant for long."

Lilith nodded confused. Black Riders. That name did not tell her anything. But if they were something able to make Ruth Ann run away, then she didn't want to meet them.
"Wait" she whispered, when something terrible came into her mind "Aren't they following Frodo as well, are they?"

Ruth Ann did not have the heart to respond back to Lilith as she continued to walk towards the Ferry. If the hobbits would have been able to escape the Raiths, she believed this was the place they would have gone.

The silence of Ruth Ann was definitely worrying, and Lilith decided it was better not to think about that. And about Black Riders as well.
They kept walking for a while, until they reached the river and a landing stage. Lilitj followed Ruth Ann on it "Ehi" she said "you don't want us to...swim, do you?" she asked, a bit worried.

"Only if you want to," Ruth Ann joked, one of the first for the past day, but she soon reverted back to her hasteful self, "We will use the ferry." Ruth Ann instructed as slowly walked out and climbed onto the ferry.

Lilith slightly smiled at Ruth Ann's answer, but quickly went back at her serious mood. She climbed onto the ferry, following Ruth Ann and sat down. "I'm not really...fine on something like this" she said, watching with terror the dark water under the ferry. "What if we fell out? What if we drown?" she started asking, while Ruth Ann managed to make the ferry move.
