Meleth covered her laughter with a long-fingered hand and dismounted an amused Minuial, extending a helping hand to Sadron. "Yet another reason why the knight in rusty armor may require the assistance of his ladies!" she said, a corner of her mouth twitching.

Meleth went around Mirima's other side and good-naturedly gave her a shove in the right direction. It didn't work. She sighed and grabbed Minuial's reins. "Come now, it wasn't that bad," she told Mirima sternly.

Roina tried her hardest not to luaph. She dismounted her black mare, and walked to Sadron's horse. "Man le trasta, Mirima? Sedho, Mirima." she coed to the horse, who became less stubern, and stood still. Roina smilied calmingly to the horse, then went back, and mounted her own...

As soon as the elf was gone, the horse bit out at Sadron- not that hard, but hard enough to draw blood.
Dumbstruck he stared at the small trickle that slid down his wrist, taking in the dark clour, and the slight pain.
His mood changing suddenly, he grabbed her mane, and swung himself roughly onto her back, speaking stern words in an ancient tounge to the horse, who also seemed to sober up.

Meleth, unperturbed, flicked her eyebrows up and down again, and mounted Minuial, who nickered as if to assure her rider that she would not attempt such silliness. Meleth smiled.

Meleth rode up beside Sadron, watching him out of the corner of her eye. Strange... she thought. She looked sideways at him. "Has your horse decided she will bear you without complaining?" she asked lightly, trying to lighten the mood between the three of them.

"She knows me,"Sadron said darkly, seeming paler, and less young, more cold, than he did beforehand"All animals speak the ancient tounge. I learnt it as a child. Did you not?" He turned his fiery eyes on her, holding her gaze in a somewhat iron grip.

Meleth shook her head. "No - though perhaps my parents would have taught me, had they not died." She held his gaze with her own dark eyes. "Why does that alarm you so?"

"In Mirkwood is it obligatory."he stated quietly, slipping back into his reserved manner, eyes downcast, seeming worried as he bit his lip.

Sadron threw a glance with his eyes, the terror at returning home to his father apparent in them for the briefest of moments. Then he look straight ahead again "I do."

Meleth made no move to ask what those reasons were, merely kept riding. She looked over at Sadron, and her eyes were not judgemental. All she said was, "Fear will get you nowhere. Believe me, I have felt it. Trust in your companions - we will not abandon you."
