Larael mounted her horse, and soon found herself towards the back of the group. The group was gaining speed as the members of the company became more experienced and accumstomed to riding. If they went far with out incident, they'd be there in no time.

Luthien's rear ached from riding and with the sun rising high in the sky, she could feel a trickle of sweat make its way down her back. Elegost had taken his post at the front of the group, and she urged her horse towards him.

"Do you think we could make a quick stop for something to eat and drink, Ellie? I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm quite ready for a break." She added a hopeful smile.

[Perhaps we ought to skip forward several days. Maybe, we reach the walls of Moria, (c'mon, we have to see them, even if we don't go in ) have a look around, and suddenly get assailed by wargs... just a suggestion of course.]

Darrell rode on through gritted teeth. He kept his head down, doing his best to ignore the bolts of pain that shot up his leg. When Luth suggested a stop he looked up hopefully. He knew they ought to press on, but some food and a short rest wouldn't go amiss.

((But why would we reach Moria if we were going to Rohan? Should we go on a bit of detour...for, you know, the purpose of seeing it and all?))

[Moria is on the way, seeing as we are travelling parallel to the Misty Mountains, we would hardly be going out of our way... The fellowship were going to go past the walls on the way to Rohan before they were spotted by the Crebain...]

((Oh. Oops. There I go presuming I know Middle-Earth geography again...))

[Right, let's get this sorted now. Our long term objective (at the moment) is to get to Rohan. I have however suggested we skip a couple of days, because otherwise we'll never get where we are going. Just as a suggestion, I think we should skip to the point we get to where the walls of Moria are, it is the next 'landmark' on our way. (we could have something else happen there, maybe an attack of some kind, or something to do with the Watcher) Or we could go to some other point...]

The group had stopped on a rocky flat, and were all staring up at the tall walls of Moria. Luthien let out a gasp, "Wow. That's incredible!"

Melda felt uneasy for a second, remembering the Watched in the Water, but her unease was quickly dispelled by the sight of Moria's entrance. "I wonder," she said breathlessly, "If one of us said mellon, would it open?"
