Another random idea of mine, brought on by boredom, I suppose. Anyway, the idea is this:
After the ending of the Watchful Peace, in the year 2460 of the Third Age, Sauron and his forces returned with increased strength to Dol Goldur. Soon thereafter, attacks began on the Palace of Mirkwood itself. The attacks continued for nearly three years, always sporadic and always claiming many lives of elves. Soon, one attack turned into a siege, which lasted for nearly six months, until the remnant of the elves that still remained in the Palace were forced to flee for their very lives. Thranduil and the remnant of the nobles in his court fled north, since they were the first group to escape, while the King's children Aradan, Legolas, and Elwen, who had remained behind in the hope of driving away the invadors, had to flee west, with the few elves that had remained with them. Now, both groups are forced to stay among the trees, never wandering near the Palace again unless they had a death wish..however, after a year living like this, a plan finally began to formulate among the Royal children, a desperate plan to reclaim their home again..
I'll start once I get a few other people to join. Also, please post your biography when you join.

Name: Meleth Elenwen (Beloved Star Maiden)
Gender: Female.
Age: Not known exactly.
Race: Elven
Appearance: Tall, like most elves, with long straight silver hair. Black eyes. Not unusually pretty for an elf, just normal.
History: Meleth's family died in an orc raid when she was small. She carries the grief of their loss with her still and the pain of it has driven her away from her home. She wanders mostly, never having found anywhere to call much of a home.
Personality: Can be snappish. Always secretive, never very friendly to anyone she doesn't know. She cares intensely about the few people she loves.
Weapons: Bow and arrows predominantly, as well as twin knives.
There's me!

I hope this is okay, if not I will edit it.
Name: Elenriel
Age: N/A
Gender: Female
Race: Elven
Appearance: Tall and slim with long black hair that flows down to her waist and striking sapphire eyes (much like her mother). She also possesses the ethereal grace and beauty characteristic of the Elves.
Attire: a long, flowing, elegant light blue gown or in battle a form fitting green tunic
Job: An elven shieldmaiden trained in both bow and sword and knows limited healing spells
Personality: She has a gentle and tender spirit. Although she disdains fighting, she is not afraid to stand up for her beliefs or defend all that she holds dear.
Parents: Her mother was Eruanna, Lady of Rivendell. Her father was Lord Calanon, an advisor to King Thranduil.
Martial Status: Legolas Greenleaf's beloved wife
History: Born as a Lady of the Mirkwood Court, her mother was a Lady of Rivendell and her father a Lord of Mirkwood who was both a friend and Chief Advisor to King Thranduil.
As a young child, her parents recognized her affinity for the blade and bow, and her passion for the healing arts and sent her to Rivendell to study under Lord Elrond. There she remained for much of her life, until her parents were maliciously slain by orcs. Upon hearing the news, she raced back to the land of her birth only to discover that is was plagued by orcs, spiders and other foul creatures. Vowing that none should have to suffer the loss she had, her days were spent battling the foul creatures and her nights tending to the wounded. It was on one of these expeditions were she fought alongside Prince Legolas and the two found true love with one another. Afterwards the two spent countless hours together, much to the disapproval of King Thranduil, who wanted his son to wed a princess of Lothlorien of higher status. Yet, despite the king's reservations, the two were soon wed, vowing that they would be faithful to one another.

(Your bio's fine, Elen. I guess we can go ahead and start, and others can join in later, if they wish to.)
It had been yet another hard day of battle, as a scouting party of orcs had come across the small group of elves as they had tried to make it to the safety of one of their rough strongholds. The casualties this time turned out to be two elves, both who had been injured in a skirmish the day before, and it was a subdued group that sat around the fire that night. The burials had already taken place, with only rough stone markers indicating where the dead lay, and a lone black rose on each grave.
"This is becoming more and more hopeless each day, Aradan." said Elwen quietly, from her place across from her brother, on the other side of the fire. Her left arm was bound tightly with bandages, and she also wore a sling. Nudging the quiver of arrows near her with her foot, she sighed. "Those will be of little use to me now.." she murmured, and Aradan finally looked at her.
"If we give up now, we admit defeat. Do you wish to do that?"
"No, but it will be inevitable!" she snapped, already past irritated.
Aradan opened his mouth to retort, but was interrupted as Legolas spoke up. "Enough. There has been far too much arguing today. Just let it go, both of you."
After that, a stony silence fell between the three of them.

Meleth sat curled on the other side of the fire, like a cat. Her face seemed to be unusually flushed and her eyes unusually bright - though in the firelight, who could tell for certain? A nasty gash reached diagonally across her collarbone and shoulder, and she held one arm awkwardly, as though it were numb, but she appeared to be ignoring it and futilely hoping it would go away - an arm injury meant the loss of her bow and arrows. Meleth's cheekbone bore a vivid reminder of that day's battle, a slash that had barely missed her eye, and she had obviously forgotten about her wounds, as was her wont. Everyone around her could see plainly that she was limping and had not taken care of herself properly, preferring to help others, but Meleth herself seemed oblivious. She was in pretty bad shape.
Currently, she was chewing her bottom lip fiercely and wincing occasionally as the cut on her face twinged. She glanced up at the three. "None of us want to give up." Her voice was hoarse.

Elenriel sat staring into the fire, the light from the orange flames flickering across her face. A deep cut on her cheek, bruised temple, and a bandage on her left arm where an orc blade had cut into her flesh were the only visible signs that gave testament of the day’s battle, though her body ached from the strain of the war. She also knew that her left shoulder was probably bruised from when she was thrown down during the fight, but that seemed of such little importance. The haunted look in her eyes bore the day's story as few words could. How many? she thought silently as she continued to stare into the flames. How many must I see die before this madness ends? A single silver tear fell from her eyes. The two that had fallen were friends of hers. She could not believe they were gone-that she had failed to save them. She looked up at her husband as he sat with them. There was hard look in Prince Legolas’s eyes that she had never seen before. He was right. Bickering would get them nowhere. But yet the question remained, how could they turn the tide? Their army was divided and their number too few. “If only there could be a way…” she mused quietly under her breath. With that Elenriel stood and walked quietly over to Meleth. Sitting beside the other maiden, she gazed at her, concern filling her eyes. "Your wounds are deep." she said softly. "Will you allow me to help you?"

With a wordless growl of pure annoyance, Elwen stood quickly and strode away from the fire. She was in no mood to be around anyone just then, and was afraid her already-short temper would snap completely if she was pressured just a little more. So, instead of letting that happen, she just walked a fair distance away from the small camp completely, stopping in a particularly thick patch of trees and sitting underneath one of them, with her back up against the rough bark. Sighing, she then drew her sword and laid it across her knees, just as a precaution, and she began looking around at her surroundings with sharp eyes, ears strained for any sounds of approach.

(hey, can i still know Aradan?)
Turwaithiel rode her horse back towards the group which she had seen earlier. She was an scout for another very small group of Elves, but they had been ambushed three days ago and Turwaithiel was the only survivor. She rode onto the road beside them before she stopped her horse in front of them. "Please, mellons, I need your assitance. My name is Turwaithiel and I was with an group of small warriors from Rohan that where ambushed three nights ago and killed." She looked over at the members, from each face and dismounted, then looked over at Aradan, an face she knew well but hadn't seen in many ages. She didn't think he would reconise her.

(*shrugs* Sure. It's been about 397 years since they've seen each other, though.)
Looking up sharply at the sound of hooves, Aradan had half risen and reached for his sword, before realizing it was just another elf before the. After she introduced herself, recognition dawned on his face. "Lady Turwaithiel?" he asked, then shook his head. He knew it was her, and it was useless to ask. "What kind of assistance do you need? If it's in our power to help you, we will."

(that's okay...)
Turwaithiel smiled and bowed low. "My Lord Aradan..I should offer my service to you, but first I need assitance. My arm...I was injured in the battle and the arrow is still stuck in the wound...I could not get it out...help me with getting it out and I will help you and your group with my life."

Aradan nodded briefly. "I'll get my sister to get the arrow out." he said, then shook his head. "And now, excuse me while I go find her.." He then walked off, only to return a few minutes later, Elwen in tow. Aradan took up his place by the fire again, as Elwen sat down across from him, and she motioned to Turwaithiel to come sit next to her.

Turwaithiel patted Tathar saying, "Good girl, Tathar, hannon le." Then, she turned and walked over to Elwen and smiled gratefully. "Thank you. I'm sorry if I introdued. It was an hard night for me."
(does Aradan still like me? did he ever??)

(Yeah, he did..it's just kinda..hard for him to admit, what with his status and all..)
Elwen's only response was to nod, and she looked at the arrow for a few moments in silence, then placed her hands on it. "This might hurt.." she said quietly, before carefully snapping the arrow in two, then pulling the respective pieces out of the wound. With that done, she then began tending to the wound, and bandaged it up tightly once it had been cleaned. "There.."

(okay...i was just making sure...i know...he's royal and i'm like...an peasant...)
Turwaithiel winced as she took out the arrow and then sighed with relief as the arrow was out. "Hannon le, mellon, hannon le." She said.
