Welcome one and all to the Return of the Rings: Beyond the Movies 2008 Roleplay. As many of you know, we are trying to go back in time, to when the movies first came out into theatres. Remember all the hype that the movies brought each and every one of us. Whether you were a Tolkien Purist who started out with the books, a movie-goer who saw the films first, or a band-wagonist who was introduced to the world of Tolkien through reviews and friends... you remember what it felt like to be cast into the world of Middle-Earth.

Now, one factor that remains true is that the films are set in stone, Peter Jackson's vision came to life in 2001 and we have been following it ever since. We all have our critiques on characters that should have done this, lines that should have been added, shots that should have been wide-screen and not close-up... these have been thoughts, but now we can live out our visions!

This year's Return of the Rings deals mostly with the behind the scenes moments. Orlando's head butt with Sala, Viggo's want to carry his darned sword everywhere, Ian's stolen biscuits, Dom's imaginary games, Elijah's incident with the fountain, John-Rhys boating castrophe, Sean Bean's fear of flying, Sean Astin's helicopter knowledge, Billy's kiss with Viggo... etc... All of these are moments that we treasure and find utterly amusing and brought each of us closer to the making of the films, what went on behind the scenes... These were the moments that made us proud fans of such a wonderful fandom!

In this RP... We will have the opportunity to hang out with the Fellowship or chat with PJ!

Our own characters have entered a contest for the opportunity to travel to New Zealand and have the chance to hang out with the Actors/Actresses of LotR and watch them film! We will get into trouble along the way with the Hobbits, help Viggo through his scenes and experience a taste of what it would be like to spend a day with the cast and crew of Lord of the Rings! So join us for a truly unforgettable summer in Return of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ringers!

Pandora loved airplanes, she had been flying in them ever since she was little, going on lots of family vacations here and there, but now, she was going to New Zealand, with other contest winners to visit the set of the filming of the Lord of the Rings, and she couldn't be any more excited. That was until turbulence hit the plane... she wasn't too fond of the shaking, but knew that they were safe inside.

Feeling a hand grasping her arm, she patted the girl's hand in a reassuring manner. "Hey, we're safe in here... who are you most excited to see when we get there?" Pandy was trying her best to get the girl's mind off of the plane and onto what was to come.

{Okay I died laughing, and then looked again and died again. I love being undead }

Elijah Wood. Finally his name might actually turn into something big. But for now he was still just an 18 year-old chap who'd done a couple of movies on his way to New Zealand. After getting his ticket to first class and buying himself a new pair of sunglasses and about four CD's it was time to get on the plane. There was a pair of highly giggly girls behind him, and he smiled to himself as he pulled out his script to study it some more. He suddenly hears his name and looks around, before shrugging and asking a passing waitress for a glass of OJ.
