Somewhere deep in the forest a lake lies. Once a year a group of elves (creative here) called the EYES (somewhat like the rangers) gather.

Can I join?
Name: Nesselde Darethiel
Age: ah...lost track a long time ago. fairly young adult though.
Gender: female
Family: She was born in Lorien. Her mother sailed west after her father was killed when she was eight. She grew up as a ward of Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel. She has been trained by the best that Lorien has to offer: i.e. Haldir, and Galadriel's grandsons, Elladan and Elrohir.
Personality: Adventurous, clever, smart. Can be somewhat impetuous. Likes practical jokes (hanging out with Elladan and Elrohir growing up did not help that...)

Name: Nessa Elanesse

Age: Well appearance says... 16

Gender: Female

Family: A bit blurry. All she knows is that her father died in the Last Alliance. She and her mother resided in Imladris. She suspects that she has two brothers in the EYE force.

I need 1-2 more people.

Thank you!

Name: Marylyn Gladomain
Age: Appears to be around 20. Has lost track of her actual age a long time ago.
Gender: Female
Family: Her father is a blacksmith and goes by the name of: Elros. Since the loss of his wife he has turned to drink. Marylyn tries hard to pull him out of his grief. Elros refuses to listen and in fact blames Marylyn for his beloved wife's death. Marylyn's mother: Merenwen was a very proud mother and wonderful wife. Merenwen died when Marylyn was young. Marylyn had been playing in the forest when she crossed a bears path. Merenwen pushed her out of the bears path and took the brunt of his wrath. She did not make it.

(Let's start shall we?)

Nessa prodded her horse onward. She was almost at Nar Aelin. Finally, a half-decent campsite! The ones she had been picking had had rocks and roots in every millimeter! As she jumped to the ground that night, she heard a thump, followed by an "Ow!" She ran up the path to investigate.

Cale proceeded to lay more wood on his fire, his thoughts distant as the flames again rose and the wood crackled. His thoughts were far from light, and tended to take a darker path as he reviewed over what had just happened in the village he had just help defend. "Cale, old boy, it may be time for you to retire.." he muttered to himself as he sat back against the tree. His sword and knives were close, should the need arise to use them. He was always watchful, almost always on edge. A ranger needed to be like that to survive.

Marylyn had been riding for days. It was always the case when her father took one of his episodes. Marylyn would disappear and when she returned it would be like he was a different man. This time she did not plan to return home. Instead she continued riding. Marylyn had a vague idea of where she was going. Her mind was somewhat distracted. Thinking of her father, worrying about her father. She knew she was nearing Nar Aelin.

The "ow!" was more of a "Meow." When Nessa got to the tree, she saw a cat. She watched it warily as it got up and decided to try to climb the tree again. Nessa scooped the poor animal and brought it back to her campsite. Her mind flashed back to why she was here. Fire... screams... running away. She kindled the only thing that she was afraid of, pulled the cat into her cloak, and fell asleep.

Cale was aware of another person in the area. His eyes slid over, looking through the trees to a woman who appeared to be sleeping. He crept closer, his eyes narrowed.

Nessa sat up with a start. She had had a nightmare in which her mother burst into flames. She hugged the cat to her chest, breathing slowing to a natural rythm.

Cale watched this all with a stony expression on his face. He sat silently in the shadows, observing. Had onenit noticed the twitching in his jaw, they may think he was just being curious.

Nesselde slowed her horse to a slow walk, as the moon flitted behind clouds. The lake was near. She would reach it tommorow. She thought briefly back to the death of her traveling companion, two months earier. Tal would have gladly given up his right arm to be with me now! she thought. Tal had been a good friend, right up to the last. He had been killed fighting off orcs so she could escape.
At least, she thought--even hoped--that he was dead, rather than in the clutches of those beasts. But it would have been nice to have him here. Near the shores of Nar Aelin.
Just to see him once more.

Marylyn vocused on her senses. She could hear the rush of the water as it lapped against the shore. It was almost peaceful to her. She longed to soak her feet in the water. Her horse grew impatient being able to sense the water himself. Marylyn nudged her horse into a quick trot. Finally ahead of her was the lake. A sigh of relief escaped her lips.
