Bargo furiously took the sandwich from Lidden.
"Now we must to visit Nefid, because we have so little food for four!" he shouted and moved along to the Bree. "If you want to follow me, that is best time!"
He was in good mood, four is also a great company and they will eat, sing and dance together!

"And my tasty sandwich wasted" said Lidden, looking sadly at the remains of bun and tomatoes. "I think it will be long journey..."

Emmielou was not one to stay angry long, she figured there was too much else to think about. So as the four new companions walked along she asked, "So where does this Neffid live? Is it far?"

"Half day of fast walking..." he looked at Lidden. "...maybe one day for some of us. He will guest us with pleasure, last time I was in his house he lent me a pony so I didn't have to walk. You know, ponies are good for luggages..."

Other than the tramp of feet, the woods were fairly quite. Kora looked around silently as the others talked, taking in the sights and sounds of the area.
Ponies would be good. The Proudfoots owned a few... it seemed like they owned a few of everything. She had been banned from riding them after an attempt to jump them over the Burrowgrey's hedges had resulted in the ruin of their prized garden gnome collection. Who liked those creepy little statues anyway?
The thought of doing something she had been banned from made her grin ear to ear. "Neffid sounds like a fascinating hobbit... erm, he is a hobbit, right?" Kora thought for another moment, "How did you meet him?"

Bargo's face turned slightly red.
"I was stealing his champignons when was a kid. It was the time when I was stealing everything everywhere, even from my own father. I also travelled a lot with my cousin Sigen...and we found ourselves far from home and with a bag of shrooms in our sacks. Nefid caught us and...put our stolen shroom on pan and made us great supper."

"So we will eat!" Lidden laughed. "That is what I wanted to hear! You almost frightened me that I should travel by empty stomach. Never do it again, Bargo.."
He was sure that his friend is rather suprrised by the ladies presence because he still was red, even if he didn't talk about thievery. He smiled.

Emmielou's stomach growled again. She sighed. Her feet hurt, she'd never walked this far in her life. She sighed again, and the overbearing sun was giving her a headache. Her knees were beginning to crackle. She sighed again.
"Are were THERE yet!"

"More three hours of the road before us..." Bargo wanted to said something comforting, when he heard a noise. It was...yes, it was sound made by hooves. The riders on the road to Bree.

Lidden heard that as well. He jumped at the noise, but only a little since he was too fat for high jumping. "Bargo...what was that?" he said with a little fear. "Maybe we should hide...just in case."

"What could be the danger?" Emmie said, indifferently "We're still in the shire!"
She sighed once more, "It's probably just Old Farmer Marshbottoms with a wagonload of hay."
But then those hoofbeats got louder, and faster...
And there was no sound of a cart behind it.
She paused.
"I think we should get off the road."

Bargo sank in the first bushes he saw, waving the hand on the rest to follow him. He chose well; the bushes were thick and seating in them was a real pain, but he could stay there unnoticed.

Lidden squeeked and started to putting his big body into bushes. He made during it so much mess and sounds that whoever was going this way, had to hear him. Once he sat in the bushes he put a finger on his mouth, turning to Bargo. "Let's stay unnoticed, my friend."

Emmie Sighed at the boys who were now nursing wounds in the Prickly Prism bush, and scuttled up a pine tree with low hanging branches. She had a good view of the road from up here, and could see a lone rider speeding down the dirt path at breakneck speed, cloak fluttering and cracking in the wind behing him. The bad news was, she was right, It was bigger than a Hobbit...
