Micha nodded to Sygnet as they rode off, leading the enemy away from the other elves. When they entered into the woods he thought they may be safe but there was an eerie feeling about the place. He was just about to agree with Sygnet's assesment of it seeming too quiet when everything happened. Enemies dropped from the trees, thunder sounded, the horses bolted, and the rain fell as if on cue.

Micha mannaged to land solidly from his horse, weapon out and ready to fight when he realized Sygnet acting odd. "Sygnet? Are you alright?" Right as his words left his lips she collapsed. He rushed over to her side, catching her head with a single hand before she hit the ground. It did little but soften the impact. Worry raced through his mind, panic... things he didn't used to feel on an adventure... As Sygnet closed her eyes and fell unconcious Micha wrapped an arm around her and picked her up, holding her against him and resting her head on his shoulder.

He still didn't know what was wrong with Sygnet but it did not appear that she had been shot. He glanced back and forth, he refused to die like this... more even yet he refused to let Sygnet die like this. He had to figure a way out, but with multiple bows trained on him as their sole target he didn't see a way. He wrapped his arm toghter around Sygnet, holding her close and backed up against a tree, waiting to see what the enemie's first move would be.

Suddenly, from the trees burst the elven ambassadors, astride their horses and weapons out. Before the bandits could react, the pair had already killed five of them. The remaining ones took a look at each other and then split and the female elf took off after them.

The male turned to Micha, "What happened to her?" he asked, moving closer to assess the situation. He lay a hand on the back of her head and it returned drenched with blood.

Micha, still taken off guard, breathed a silent sigh of reliefe as the two elves rushed in and the enemies fled.

"She fell..." was his inly response to the elf's uestion of Sygnet. He had seem the blood on his arm but he had assumed it had come from his own injury. Looking closer a quick glance around revealed the rock Sygnet had likely hit her head on. Micha sheathed his sword and picked Sygnet up. "We need to get her out of the rain... back to the camp. Were there any enemies left or are they all gone?" He asked, already headed that direction. He was set on getting his love to a dey and warm place. Some place where she could lay down by a fore out of the weather.

Again, he felt that feeling.... fear. Would she be ok? How bad was the injury? He hurried all the faster.

"Yes it is all clear," the male told him, dismounting his horse, "here take my horse and go," he told Micha, offerings him the rains, "I need to go check on Faelynn" he turned and dashed off after the elf maid.

Back at camp, Brinley, the young boy, had gotten lose from his rope and was setting up a large tent. Apparently he had stolen one from the camp above on the cliff. He put up both of his hands to show he meant no harm to any of them.

"I laid out the bedrolls," he told Micha, pointing inside.

Micha paused only momentarily at the sight of Brinley loose. He didn't say a word, though. He rushed Sygnet inside the tent and lay her gently on one of the bedrolls.

"Start a fire," he ordered the boy, a bit of a gruff edge to hsi voice. He hunted through his pack and got a clean cloth, some sterile solution to clean Sygnet's wound and some healing salve to put on after the wound was cleaned, all the while praying she would be alright.

Brinley did as he was told, running to fetch some wood. He happened to find a few dry logs nearby, thankfully. He was a little scared for his life at the moment. He returned swiftly and in no time had a fire lit and crackling in the center of the tent. Then he stood quietly by the tent flaps, waiting to be told to do something else.

Sygnet stirred slightly as Micha set her down. Her eyelids fluttered open and she smiled slightly, "Micha, you look like someone died," she teased him.

Micha sighed, a silent sign of relief as Sygnet stirred. He put a hand on her cheek and forced a smile across his face. "I was worried..." he said softly. "I wasn't sure how badly you were hurt. How do you feel?"

"Like I got hit by a rock. How are the ambassadors? And Brinley?" she asked, concern showing more in her face at the mention of the young boy.

Brinley stepped forward and waved slightly.

"How did you escape? Micha, your arm," she grabbed it forcefully and tried to sit up, "That needs attention," she stated.

Micha smiled at her reply, glad to see she was her normal self and still in good humor. "The ambassadors went to chase down the few remaining enemies," Micha answered, leaving Brinley to answer for himself.

Micha shrugged it off a bit as Sygnet noticed his arm. "I'll be fine," he insisted. "I just need to stop the bleeding." He still paid little heed to his injury, keeping his eyes on Sygnet while he haphazardly took off his leather arm guard. It looked much worse than it was due to the blood that had stained through his leather guard and entire sleeve.

Brinley waited quietly, looking at the ground and standing there quietly, waiting to be chastised. While Micha tended to his wounds, Sygnet waved over Brinley, "Boy," she began, "how old are you?" she asked kindly.

"Fourteen, miss," He told her quietly, kneeling by her head.

"And your parents?"

"Dead. Killed by these bandits when I was five, miss," he looked away, eyes full of sadness.

"You'll stay with us, okay?" she told him, smiling slightly and reaching up to take his hand.

Micha glanced over at Sygnet with a questioning look as she told Brinley he would stay with them, but he said nothing. He finished wrapping his wound and tossed a few more sticks in the fire before mindlessly examining his leather arm guard that was now nearly in two pieces. He tossed the thing aside and counted his arrows. He didn't have too many left. "I suppose I should go look for our elf ambassadors."

Brinley sat beside Sygnet's head, almost as if a waiting servant. As Micha spoke, the ambassadors returned, stepping through the tent flaps, weapons drawn.

"We got the last of them," the male said.

Sygnet smiled at them, "My name is Sygnet, this is Brinley and that's my husband, Micha," she introduced, gesturing to the others from her place on the bedroll.

"I am Agorian. This is my sister, Faelwyn," said the elven lord. The siblings were practically identical with the same light blonde hair and deep blue eyes. The male had a stonier expression than his sister, who seemed more welcoming and warm.

"Well, that was an easy find," Micha said, half in jest and half in relief. He hadn't really wanted to go out looking and leave Sygnet anyways, if he were honest. He set his bow and arrows back down nodded a greeting as Sygnet introduced them all and the elves in return introduced themselves.

"Thanks for the help back in the woods," Micha said once they had given their names.

They both nodded and set up their bedrolls in the opposite corner of the tent, "We left the horses under a tree, just so you know. And your saddlebags are right there," Faelwyn pointed to the bags nearby.

Brinley laid out his own bedroll nearby Sygnet's side but on the other corner and curled up on the thin furs.

Sygnet lay back down and turned to Micha, "Now clean your wound," she commanded him, smiling gently.

"It's clean," he insisted. "Clean enough for now." He gave a weak smile and tossed a few more sticks in the fire. "Why don't you rest, I'll take first watch and make sure nothing goes wayward in the night."

Sygnet nodded and rolled over on to her side so avoid touching the injury On the back of her head. She was asleep quickly in the darkness, listening to the hard rain and the thunder still booming in the distance but now farther away. The siblings shut their eyes to rest as elves do, poised for a fight, one hand grasping their weapons while hey lay there. Brinley was snuggled up on his bedroll, fast asleep. His motives were unclear but evidently he planned to do good by Sygnet and Micha and behave as he was always taught. It would be a good way to live his life.
