"Agreed. Though it is a relief to hear you are from here. I'm guessing that means you know these roads better than I. I'm going off of tales my father would tell me, and an old map. I wondered if I would find Rivendell at all," Eofyr admitted.

"I know the road to Rivendell well," Micha confirmed. "I've been there many times." His eyes seemed to drift back in time and his mood shifted once more... but only for a brief moment.

"I typically turn in early and get up early," he explained. "Don't change your habits on my account but I should get some sleep."

Eofyr nodded to him as he mentioned knowing the road to Rivendell, but didn't say anything more about it.

Then he mentioned going to sleep early, and that caused her to giggle.
"Why do you think I made camp so early?" she suggested. "It's safer to travel during the daylight hours, so I see it better to get up early to utilize the daylight."

Micha smiled a bit at her response. She was right after all...

"If I've learned one thing about people in my days...it's never assume."

He laid his head on his pack and tossed the blanket over his body while his horse, Syndar, laid down up against his side opposite the fire.

Eofyr mulled over his words awhile. "Sounds like wise words to live by," she said. "Then I shall speak with you again come morning."

With that she set out her bedroll from her pack. She utilized her saddle as a pillow, leaning back on it. With a second thought, she sat up and placed another piece of wood on the fire before laying back down and wrapping a cloak around her. Sha'taal grazed sleepily not far away...

The next morning Micha woke early, just a short while before the sun spilled over the horizon.

He looked over at the dying fire and then at his pack. He grabbed a few provisions and ate while scanning the horizon.

Eofyr woke a few short minutes later, stretching before opening her eyes. She glanced at the fire, but let it be as she stood and rolled the cloak she had been using as a blanket and strapped it to the saddle. She gave a light whistle and Sha'tal wandered over to her. She patted her horse, then as if remembering his presence, looked over at Micah. "Good morning," she said with a sleepy smile.

"Morning," Micha said with a nod. He gazed onwards towards the horizon, almost as if he were seeking to view Rivendell before their arrival in the morning sunrise.

He gathered his things upon Eofyr rising and packed them in his sadle bags. Replacing the saddle bags on Syndar he then grabbed a few small sticks and tossed them in the fire.

He sighed and sat back down by the fire. Sha'taal walked over to the new horse to check it out. When he was done, he went back to grazing.
