Strider looked up at the person talking to him. Von. He gave a quick smile. "Well, thanks. Strider." He said, introducing himself. "Yeah, I kinda got the impression people didn't like me to. No clue why, though..."

"Bad first impression maybe? I always say give a guy three chances for an impression. And if he messes all three up, depending on how bad they were, give him a few more or not," Von replied with a grin. Now he could feel his mouth water as the smell of the cooking meat wafted into the air...

Strider smiled back. "Yeah...maybe...when I saw Eavan walk into the inn....something clicked in my mind. I knew that she was injured, I knew something was wrong. I tried to ask her...in a way I suppose was a little harsh...and then everyone turned on me." He smiled slightly.

"Same as the rest of us here. And I'm sure she'll reveal everything in her own time, when she's ready. Rushing things don't help anything," Von said, and pulled hin his stick with the meat. He cut off the juciest and best part, and stuck it in the wrap the meat had originally come from for Eavan, and held out some to Strider.
"Want some? There's not exactly enough here for everybody, but I'm sure we can come up with a way to feed those who don't get fed with this bit of meat."

Strider wnated the meat, but thought better of it. "No thank you. Let the others eat first." After a moment's thought, Strider thought it wouldn't hurt to mention one oh his hobbys. "I can hunt, you know. Fairly well, to. I could help feed."

Von nodded, and placed the rest of the meat in a seperate wrap, then leaned in closer to Strider and whispered so only he would here. "That would make a good second impression," he whispered, with a grin, and leaned back, and went to sectioning the food. There was enough for three people to have a helping of meat, not including the one for Eavan. So he figured one would be Tristan's, the other Amaran's, and the last Dax's. And for himself he could just eat some dried fruit he had stocked up on a few towns back before joining the quest...

Dax looked over to Strider, "Go ahead and eat," she told him, still waiting for Eavan's response, "Both of you," she added, nodding to the Bard, noticing he didn't seperate any meat for himself. "I'll take care of the girl, if she needs it. Besides," she added, "I don't eat meat."
Being a healer, Dax didn't belive in killing anyone, unless it was truely nessasary, and in defence only, even animals.

Strider nodded towards Dax. "Thanks, Dax." Then he heard about her not eating meat. "What do you eat, then? I know probably herbs...but still...what could I get you in the forest?? You must eat."

Vondell nodded to the healer, and picked up the portion for Dax, for himself.
"Calm, Strider. Dax, you can have my dried fruit then, I've got plenty to share, and won't need it if you don't eat the meat, because then I'll fill on the serving I cut for you. Though you probably already have some means of feeding yourself..."

Tristan returned after a while to the camp with in his hands two, already dead, fishes. Making his way over to the fire, he dropped one before Strider's feet. "I set my nets so if I'll check on them again later I'll have a better catch." he said with a satisfied smile. Humming softly to himself he fingered his dagger from his boot and started to slice the fish into parts. With skill he scrapped all the insides of the fish and the scales. "This used to take me ages to do this..Do you prepare the other one?" Tristan smiled but didn't look at Strider while asking the question. He actually didn't have to since he couldn't see his face anyway. _________________
