Roused slightly now, Darius managed to open his eyes as he glanced over at Rosalina. Her breathing sounded so harsh that he was tempted to wake her. It was a pity that they had let Gareth go back to the room so soon, but at the same time, Darius knew that the mage probably wanted to tend to his own woman.

Laying down at Calista's side, Gareth gently took the woman into his arms and held her close. However, he did not allow himself to fall asleep, not until Calista awoke and he could be sure that she would be all right.

Darius continued to remain awake and listen to Rosalina's breathing. If things became worse, he would try to wake her or try and get help if necessary.

After several more minutes Calista groaned softly as her lashes started to flutter. "Gareth..." she murmured weakly.
"I'm here, dear maiden. I'm here." Gareth told her softly before placing a light kiss on her cheek.

"Ro," Darius whispered as he shook her weakly. Her cough was causing him to grow more and more worried about her health.

"How is Darius...Rosalina?" Calista murmured without opening her eyes.
"Rosalina's cough has returned," Gareth whispered to her, wishing Calista would just rest so she could heal. "Darius is alive, but still very weak."
"I-I want--to help them..." Calista whispered weakly.
"Rose, you need to rest. You seem to be barely able to stand, much less walk. You just need to take it easy for now, my love," Gareth added before kissing her lightly on her lips.

Rosalina woke, moaning becuase of her know sore throart. "Darius, is every thing ok?" she asked, voice rough.

"Ro, do you feel ill?" Darius asked her, worry in his weak tone and eyes. "Do you want me to get Gareth?" he asked her, completely ignoring her question as his only concern was for her.

"Shh, Rose. You need to rest. You collapsed again and hit your head."
"I'll...be...fine..." Calista murmured and Gareth could only sigh in frustration.
"Calista, you need to take care of yourself. Are you trying to tempt death?" he asked her, a hint of irritation coloring his tone.

"Do you need something to drink?" Darius asked her as he slowly tried to sit up in the bed and then climb out of it to get her a cup of water.

"What you need is rest." Gareth told her sharply. "One of these days you will overtax your strength and it will kill you," Gareth whispered, his voice breaking at the very thought of it.

"Calista, moments earlier I found you unconscious on the ground. You are not strong enough yet to be trying to take care of everyone. You need to rest," Gareth insisted as he lightly caressed her cheek.

Sighing softly in contentment, Calista closed her eyes for a moment before she opened them again. Without another word, she tried to sit up, but Gareth gently pushed her back down. "No," he warned her. "Do not force me to cast a spell to chain you to this bed because I will if you refuse to rest."

Darius merely sighed, worried for Rosalina all the same. "Nevertheless, I want to make sure that your symptoms do not get any worse," he remarked as he tried to get out of bed.

"You wouldn't," Calista whispered weakly.
"Believe me, I will use my magic to keep you in bed until you have healed if I need to," Gareth told her sternly, a serious gleam shone in his eyes which told Calista that he was not trifling with her.
Pouting slightly Calista fell silent as she averted her gaze, utterly hating to remain in bed when she could have been of more use tending to her friends.
