Blinking a few times, Calista just stared at Gareth for a few seconds as if she were trying to dispel the dream. "Gareth...?" she finally whispered before she threw her arms around his neck and she started to sob in his chest, her entire being shaking with her cries.

Calista just continued to sob against Gareth's chest as the mage stroked her hair. "I-I saw him..."she mumbled against him. "I-I could feel....him...beating....and choking...me again..."she whispered. "And....I saw...him...hurt....a serving girl....she...was only....a child...." she whimpered as a shudder passed through her body.

Calista just wept in Gareth's arms. "But what if he sends his armies after you....I couldn't bear it if you were hurt," she murmured against him. "You don't...know...Julius....he has never...fought fair....I have seen him defeat...and murder...his betters...though his...schemes. If he perceives any weakness in you....he will exploit it...to kill you..."

Calista slowly raised her head to look Gareth in his eyes, tears still falling from her blue eyes. Sniffling, she had to swallow back the lump of worry in her throat as she slowly nodded. "I have already been witness to many of Julius' acts of cruelty. My sister suffered at his hand...and I couldn't even protect her..." she whimpered. "And I know that if Julius kills either of you now, I won't be able to survive."

Calista gave Gareth a gentle smile as he wiped away her tears. At his words, she just lowered her head slightly, a bit embarrassed over her silly fears, but at the same time she could not help it. Julius had already taken so much from her. She didn't want him to take anything else. Leaning against Gareth then, she just sighed softly. "I'm sorry, my fears must seem so childish to you, considering I have witnessed some of your abilities already."
